Amy Tan’s Joy Luck Club is an amazing representation of what Chinese immigrants and their families face. The broad spectrum of the mothers’ and daughters’ stories all connect back to a couple of constantly recurring patterns. These patterns are used to show that how the mothers and daughters were so differently raised affected their relationships with each other, for better and for worse. To begin with, the ever-present pattern of disconnect between the two groups of women is used to show how drastically differently they were raised.
In the story of “Harrison Bergeron”, George and Hazel Bergeron’s son is murdered, but because of the world they live in they cannot mourn the way normal parents might. The reader must conclude their own thoughts on what they think is right or wrong with how George and Hazel reacted to Harrison’s death. These are some things the reader must know and take into consideration to make a fair judgement of the two parents. George Bergeron had well-above average intelligence but was required by law to wear a special small handicap transmitter that would send sharp waves of random sound every twenty seconds, impairing him the ability to use his intelligence. He also was required to wear a forty-seven pound bag of birdshot which was padlocked around his neck.

Let Life Live Spiritual Guru, Osho once stated, “Life should not only be lived, it should be celebrated”. Outstanding Movie Portrayal of A Raisin in the Sun Extra scenes in a film or story can make all the difference when it comes to being captured by a narrator’s work, and in the film A Raisin in the Sun based off of the play written by Lorraine Hansberry, the portrayal of true emotion and symbolism were captured almost ideally when it came to added scenes outside of the Younger’s apartment, with the exception of a few altered events, like Mama’s retirement. Foremost, Mama’s retirement in the first scene of the film provides not only a new symbolic perspective, but it may also seem to take away from Hansberry’s initial intentions.
The Fault in Our Stars is a beautiful novel written by John Green. This story takes place in Amsterdam and Indianapolis, where it 's based mainly on two characters, Hazel, and Augustus. Hazel is facing stage four Thyroid cancer, and Augustus suffers from osteosarcoma, another form of cancer. Hazel is a very heartwarming character who never gives up no matter what, but like most teenagers, she dislikes doing what her parents believe is good for her. Her parents tried convincing her to attend a support group, but she just didn 't buy it until one day her mom forces her to go.
