Trump is famously known to have an answer and a solution for everything and everyone. Trump proposed a plan to put cameras on mosques. He states, “Our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in jihad” (“The Rhetorical Brilliance of Trump the Demagogue”). Trump claims that his simple solution to keep an eye on muslims will stop the spread of radical terrorism. He implements the idea that muslims are not worthy of being called a “who” instead he calls them a “that” implying they are not humans.
In 2002, then Senator Barack Obama addressed fellow anti-war rallyist by using scesis onomaton to emphasis his views on why invading Iraq is unreasonable. He signifies that this war is an unrealistic decision by saying that “a dumb...rash war” would only cause more tension between nations. Obviously, he was not anticipating a clear answer because he knew that President Bush would not be able to defend his argument on why the American people should fight against Iraq. Obama brings attention to his audience by repeating similar words like “dumb” and “rash” in order to get his point across of how unnecessary this war will be. He establishes that he “does not oppose all wars”, but he does oppose those which add more fuel to the fire.
He wants to build a great wall to block out all immigrants. Recently he said “Until we are able to determine and understand this problem and the dangerous threat it poses, our country cannot be the victims of horrendous attacks by people that believe only in Jihad, and have no sense of reason or respect for human life (Donald Trump).” He is causing a lot of stir in the political
There were many people jailed with one reason, they are Muslims. It constitutes a dictatorship type of government and not a constitutional government that promoted democracy. They also did not respect and appreciate the international law. Action should be taken even though US is a strong and major countries, but, human right must be prioritised. The act of President Bush accused Osama as the main actor of the attack, we could see it clearly that his ‘intelligence’ which because they can know who the real enemy is in just few hours of the attacks.
On the other hand, we have does that believe that more controls laws should be implemented since the 2nd amendment was for the right of States to have an armed militia during wartime. Both sides have strong point, however, the safety of our children comes first, and a firearm means death in the wrong hands. If we look back at the history of gun control in the United States, we can determine that gun control laws are
Roosevelt states, “...the tempo of modern warfare could bring into our very midst the physical attack which we must eventually expect if the dictator nations win this war” (15). Roosevelt says this in the way he did because at this point in time he didn’t want to physical fight but he knows if the country needs to we will. Roosevelt knows that wars do not solve the problem which is why he simply wanted to aid countries and not physically fight with them, causing the loss of many lives. Roosevelt had four basic freedoms that he wanted to be conserved and saved. Roosevelt believes that freedom is being able to express yourself in the ways you believe and what you believe in.
This event was a test to show if the new country could take the violence current countries had to take. Shays Rebellion showed the American government was weak and needed a change soon. This event was so tragic that this led to the destruction of The Articles of Confederation. In current day America we are now governed by a stronger government under The Constitution that is why the event is so important in American history and that is why I chose this event.
I find Charles Lewis to have a valid point by saying that this country is in fact very militant. The reason why I think he says we don 't want to associate ourselves with wanting to be militant is because of all of the horrible things that can happen during war. When watching why do we fight every president has always gone into another country and tried to do it so that it was as if they did something to up hold America 's freedom. America likes to police the world and most Americans agree with it, this makes them feel safe. I think the real truth though in this statement is that fighting as a nation is in our best interest and we all should support anything our country
There has to be more research done in order to identify the reason behind the bombing. Governor Cuomo states that this violent incident will not let Americans live in fear. As a result, the bombing is making the presidential candidates to demonstrate their qualities of leadership. The bomb attack is a reason why many view the United States an unsafe place. Terrorism has always been one of the biggest problems the
We are maximizing our security, and we are determined to keep this from happening again. Pitts also says, “ you don’t know what we’re capable of. You don’t know what you just started. But you’re about to learn.” Pitts writes this almost as a threat to the terrorists to tell them, they can try again and try to break us but we will get revenge. Pitts uses emotion and logic to persuade the Americans that the terrorists can do what they want to us, but America is tough enough to handle it.
If everybody tackled the gunman, he would not have been able to kill all his victims. He added that people should be able to know what to do because it will probably happen again, Carson told ABC in an interview. Meanwhile, during the same rally, Trump expressed his support for Russia’s initiative to launch airstrikes in Syria. He told the crowd that he thinks bombing ISIS is a “great thing.” However, Russians are mostly targeting the rebels in western Syria who are against Assad’s leadership. The U.S. also said Moscow is not really attacking ISIS, but is just bombing the Syrian government’s opponents.
