Supply chain management is the management of the flow of goods and services. It involves the movement and storage of raw materials, work-in-process inventory, and finished goods from the point of origin to point of consumption. Supply chain managers are responsible for directing or coordinating production, purchasing, warehousing, distribution, or financial forecasting services or activities to limit costs and improve accuracy, customer service or safety. Supply chain managers are responsible of structuring an organization by making sure that communication is handled the right way throughout the organization, which can be done by giving every employees their own freedom to express any ideas regarding the issues of supply chain in the company.
