Future of HRM ESSAY
The world we live in is becoming more and more complex and ever-changing with megatrends that are radically shifting the context of the workforce, workplace and the world of work. The competitive workforce that managers face today and will continue to confront in the future demands organizational excellence, which is achieved through the work of HR. In roughly 5 to 15 years, HRM will see fundamental and profound changes in its practices. Taking into consideration the big picture of HRM, this essay will analyze the possible elements that will grow in importance and the key skills needed for success for future HRM.
The first element that has played a considerable role in HRM and will continue to be in the future is technology.

That said, HRM will see changes in the type of employee and what they look for in the workplace. Firstly, holistic workers will become more ubiquitous. There is an increase in people’s need for opportunities to make meaningful contributions to the organization as well as society. For individuals, the attention to social responsibility will become a high priority in 5 to 15 years’ time. People will want to work for for an organization that serves a purpose which they feel passionate about. According the recent research, 78% of youth indicated that happiness was as important as financial success. They believe that work should bring them joy and a sense of fulfillment, which creates engagement and motivation, consequentially increasing productivity and performance. Second of all, people are expecting lifelong growth. Employees of the future will be less goal-driven and more growth-driven. They want be challenged and value the importance of growth so they always strive for higher, better future and never plateau once they reach a level of success. Finally, people are expecting the freedom to choose how, when and where they work. In my view, innovative and the future HRM means more opportunity and freedom for individuals. First of all, the ability to work virtually is held in high regards. Introduction Managing supervisor of Department O, Wilma Coogan, asked if I could make a report on extending telecommuting at the Corona Corporation. Telecommuting is working from a remote location, away from the standard work office. Remote locations can range from the home of the employee to any place with an Internet connection and the required tools (Ye, 2012). Billions have taken this religion along with their already-held beliefs, practicing both side by side. This new and fast-sweeping religion that we are all a part of is the religion of technology, where people worship the new gods of the internet and the television. Rather addressing it as a whole new religion, perhaps a better perspective might consider the predominance of faith of the late moderns, while talking about technology. The people that work at the front desk can easily send out paperwork to a client, instead of waiting for it to mail to their house. Making it a quick and efficient way for clients to fill out and bring the papers with them to the appointment. Cell phones have all the required information needed to get people going on a daily basis. They are being used as an alarm clock, virtual calendars, calculators, note talking, being able to track your health and being able to access the internet.
If left untreated, it results in subpar work and potentially even an employee needing to take an unexpected sabbatical. Remote working cuts down on this stress considerably, not only due to the loss of the commute but also by allowing people to work at their own pace in a more relaxed atmosphere. 3. We depend too much on technology. There is no doubt about it. Many places of work are at a loss if their internet connection stops working. 1.4.1 Literature Review HRM practices are a process of engaging, motivating, and maintaining employees to ensure the organizational survival (Schuler and Jackson, 1987). According to (Delery and Doty, 1996) HRM practices are prepared and implemented in a way that human capital plays important role in achieving the goals and objectives of the organization. The appropriate use of HRM practices strongly influence the standard of employer and the degree of employee commitment (Purcell, 2003). HRM practices like, training and development, performance appraisal allow the employees to do better in order to enhance the organizational performance (Snell and Dean, 1992; Pfeffer, 1998).
