Why Hitler Chose the Jews During the time Hitler was beginning to rise to power, a huge population of Germany was supporting the newly coming leader Adolf Hitler. Little did they know the horrible devastating mass murder of the Jewish people Hitler called “The Holocaust”. The Holocaust started on January 1933 and ended on May 8, 1945. The Holocaust was made purposely to eliminate the Jews and any other person and religion that got in Hitler’s and the Nazis way.
The Holocaust is the deadliest recognized genocide in human history. It lasted from January 30,1933 – May 8,1945 and would result in the l1 million deaths. The causes of the Holocaust begin at the end of World War One with what Germans referred to as “the stab in the back”. This was a myth that claimed the German Army did not loose World War One but was betrayed by the Jewish population who gave up land and supplies to the Allies. As this spread anti-Semitism or hate for Jewish people grew in Germany as people viewed the Jewish population as deceptive and traitorous. As the Nazi party rose to power with their psychopathic leader, Adolf Hitler, at the helm they made it very clear that Jewish people were a threat to the German future and must therefore be exterminated.
During the 1930’s and 40’s Nazi Germany was a dictatorship ruled by Adolf Hitler he was a cruel dictator who had a goal to eliminate all european jews this shows in “Law,Justice, and the Holocaust” where it says that he and The Nazis mainly targeted people of the Jewish faith, at the end of the war they successfully killed six million jewish men, women, and children. This event was known as the holocaust. Hitler was a very cruel and hated man by the people who weren’t being schooled by the Nazis.
Beginning January 30, 1933, when Adolph Hitler came into power as the chancellor of Germany, Germany and Poland began to see the first signs of the most destructive ethnic cleansings of European history. Hitler, as well as the Nazi party, held the belief that those of the Jewish population had diluted the pure German economy and culture. Through a series of political actions and explicit propaganda, Hitler and the Nazi party created a world of anti-Semitic racism with the claim that the Aryan race, or Germans, was supreme in all aspects. The Jewish Holocaust was a genocidal event that included a series of racist persecutions, involving every imaginable violence, not ending until May 8, 1945, with the help of allied forces. Ultimately, the Jewish Holocaust ended with an unthinkable death toll of over six million people belonging to the Jewish faith, with over one million of those deaths being children, and the destruction of more than five thousand Jewish communities. Those dead equaled a total of two-thirds of the entire European Jewish population and one-third of the world’s total Jewish
The Holocaust occurred because the Nazi leader, Adolf Hitler, saw Jews as an inferior race and a threat to Germany (History.com staff, 2009). Between 1933 and 1945, concentration camps to hold Jews captive had become a factor in the lives of Germans. Nazi Germany and its allies had established more than 40,000 camps and other incarceration camps where forced labor, mass murder
Jewish people were victim of the abuse that they received from the "Superior" Aryan race, they were sent towards concentration camp and were treated harshly and killed in cold blood, simply because of their religion, this was called the holocaust. Only a small amount of Jews survived the holocaust, a lot of stories from Jews who had suffered through the horror of concentration camp had surfaced and revealed the horror that they experienced, one of this Jews that spoke up is Joseph Sher.
During this time 6,000,000 Jews were killed, not by war, but rather at the hands of Germany. Hitler believed that Jews were an inferior race and was a threat to German purity. After years of being mistreated Hitler had a plan called the Final Solution, which was the attempt to extinct the entire Jewish Population. Germany would accomplish this by concentration camps that were set up in Poland.
In 1933, Jews in Germany were about 525,000 (1%) of the total German population(The Holocaust-World War 2). Between 1933 and 1939, hundreds of thousands of the Jews who could leave Germany, did, those who couldn’t, stayed in fear(The Holocaust-World War 2). Evidence has shown hatred towards the Jews long before the Holocaust(The Holocaust-World War 2). Hitler blamed the Jews for the defeat of the war in 1918(The Holocaust-World War 2). After the death of President Paul Von Hidenburg in 1934, Hitler made himself Germany’s supreme
In the past, innocent people got persecuted by the hands of other individuals because of hatred. These terrible actions started because of the pure hatred, lack of knowledge, and people didn’t fight back. Since, this happened people have lost their lives for example 9/11, Pearl Harbor, and shooting that is going on. “If we learn nothing else from this tragedy, we learn that life is short and there is no time for hate”. Nazi ideology started Propaganda causing discrimination and hate which justified genocide, which led 6.3 millions Jews killed.
The Holocaust was a horrific tragedy which started in January of 1933 and ended in May of 1945, the Holocaust was the mass murder of millions of people. The word was derived from the Greek word that meant Sacrifice to the Gods (Steele 7), also called the Shoan which is the Hebrew word for catastrophe (Steele 7). So many countries took place in this 12-year genocide, including, “Germany, Italy, Japan, Romania, Hungary, and Bulgaria, which were also known as the Axis Powers” (Steele 34). But, although there were all those countries they were all part of one larger group called the Nazis, were the ones who were killing all the different denominations of people. (Bachrach 58). All of this led to the gigantic catastrophe called the Holocaust. The
The Holocaust was the genocide of the Jewish religion from 1933 to 1945. Hitler wanted to wipe out the Jews because he felt that the Jews were responsible for Germany’s loss in the World War. When Hitler gained power in 1933, he started the extermination of the Jews. The Nazi’s would take Jews from their homes and put them into concentration camps.
That is the reason why we, as Nationalists and Socialists, oppose the Jew.” In this document, Joseph Goebbels, is explaining to people why the Nazis hate Jews. This evidence explains why Hitler hated Jews. The quote says that the Jews were the real cause that Germany had lost the Great War. I believe that this is one of the many reasons why Hitler hated Jews.
Jews that lived during the Holocaust were robbed and deprived of their God given rights and humanity.. They slowly lost hope, faith, family, and the reason you keep living. Elie Wiesel realizes he has to let go of his family to survive when the doctor says, “In this place there is no such thing as father, brother, friend”(110). This is dehumanizing because people are born needing a family to depend on and once they lose something as simple as that, they fall into a pit of negative emotions. Thousands of people lost their family members during the holocaust and the Germans had absolutely so sympathy towards them. The Nazis continued their torment by killing large groups of people in small, confined areas. This is supported by a Jew among Wiesel when he said, “we can’t let them kill us like that, like cattle in the slaughterhouse”(31).
The Holocaust was nothing short of mass genocide an entire culture just because they didn’t fit in with a government “vision”, which made them easy scapegoats for the Nazi Regime for problems that came to Germany after the First World War. So when the Holocaust started, many refuges evacuated Germany and parts of Europe for places such as Palestinian, which was once apart of their homeland. But when the new people there, the Arabians, would limit or even try and stop them from getting in, it created a heavy tension that has lasted to this day.
