The use of limited third person point of view by Lois Lowry in The Giver impacts the story. The narrator describes the story by providing the reader with insight on what Jonas thinks, sees, knows, hears and feels throughout the story. This provides the reader with more than just simple actions, it presents sensory details as well. Although Lowry presents vast knowledge on Jonas, information on other characters throughout the story, such as Fiona, remain undescribed.
