Have you noticed that mistakes you made can actually help you and others in the future? You and others will remember those mistakes and try not to make them again. The same thing happens in countries around the world. Countries mess-up, but because they mess-up they can actually become more successful, and grow as a country because they will know not to do it again. In order to have a successful development, you need to learn from mistakes made in the past.
“The objective of development is to create an [...] environment for people to enjoy long, healthy, and creative lives.” - Mahbub ul Haq. The purpose of development is to create a place for people to have a pleasant life. What this quote is saying is development should be a good thing, and

According to Dale Turner, who is an American songwriter, he says: “Some of the best lessons we ever learn are learned from past mistakes. The error of the past is the wisdom and success of the future.” - Dale Turner. This quote is saying that the best outcomes are from mistakes made in the past, and these mistakes have led to achievements and wise knowledge. Another example of why you should use others mishaps to gain knowledge is: “This freedom entitles American citizens to say what they think, provided they do not intentionally hurt someone else 's reputation by making false accusations (...) Freedom of speech enables people to state their opinions openly to try to convince others to change their minds.” Congress made this part of the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights because they knew it was an important rule to have. Other countries didn’t give their citizens freedom of speech, so they don’t get to speak their mind. People like to express their feelings and don’t like it when they aren’t allowed to freely. The congressmen knew that, so they decided to make it a law that their citizens could have freedom of speech, even if it affects them negatively. In conclusion, countries don’t want to repeat the same mistakes that other countries made in the
The First Amendment states, “Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of speech.” Freedom of Speech helps those who need help and can ask the public without worry of getting in trouble. This amendment was included in the Constitution because now people e the right to advertise their work to others and have protests to things that they believe is right for the country. The amendments were important to the framers of the Constitution. The Freedom of Speech was important to the framers because of, “its diffusion of liberal sentiments on the administration of Governments.”
The freedom of speech is important because it gives us the ability to express our thoughts and opinions. (Cite) Magazine editor, Rachael Jolley said, “ Free speech has always been important throughout history because it had been used to fight for change. When we talk about rights today they would not have been achieved without free speech. Think about a time from the past-women not being able to vote, or the terrible working conditions in the mines- free speech is important as it has helped change these things.” Most people take the freedom of speech for granted because they do not realize how privileged we are to have
The freedom of speech allows individuals to freely express their thoughts and ideas. The government cannot censor what individuals write or say. The freedom of the press is an important First Amendment provision. Because of the freedom of the press, the media may report on current events without interference from the government.
Freedom of speech allows Americans say what they would like to say without getting in trouble. There are a few exceptions such as no slander, threats, national security and some pornography. This means you can’t go around hurting people’s reputations and life with lies. You also are not allowed to give threats and share government secrets. Say if you had been in the Federal Bureau of Investigation and then you left your job, you still cannot tell the secrets of the government for the reason of national security.
Everybody learns from their mistakes it may take a while and it may take help from others to understand why but at the end the goal is
Someone once said, “ Life is all about making choices. Always do your best to make the right ones and always do your best to learn from the wrong ones”- Anonymous. Choices can always look instructive whether they are great or bad. Often, a string of good choices makes it easier to continue down the path, good consequences paving the way to more good choices. However, poor choices often have unlimited consequences.
The First Amendment to the United States Constitution states “Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech”. Some people in today’s time would argue the first amendment is one of the most important listed in the Bill of Rights. Many forms of speech are protected by the first amendment that one wouldn’t think would be such as flag burning and “adult videos”. Over the years there have been many different court cases that have debated and fought the forms of speech that are protected. Many people in society treat speech differently and this is given in the United States because there are such diverse groups throughout the nation.
“It’s not how we make mistakes, but how we correct them that defines us”-Rachel Wolchin. If you’ve ever made a bad grade on a test than you know mistakes are natural. If your mistake was on a math test and you forgot a negative sign, then on the next test be more conscious. Picking up what has fallen is the highest struggle and the highest form of growth. The human race has made mistakes trying to make life better, but must try to fix them like after the dust bowl and the recent smog in Delhi.
My favorite mistake is one that I didn’t even consider a mistake at the time, maybe more of a mishap, or just one part of a long series of unfortunate events. But, looking at it in hindsight, I can tell you it was a mistake, definitely a mistake. It occurred on a beautiful, warm Saturday in May; school had just ended and life was looking up as summer was fast approaching with its promise of fun and sunshine. I was spending this gorgeous day with my mom and grandma out shopping for my brother’s graduation party, which was to occur the next day. ; and, wWe had just walked out of the Chesterfield Valley Olive Garden when I had the brilliant idea of convincing my mom to let me drive home.
Mistakes are made so you could learn from them, so you could do better. Just because a person makes mistakes does not mean he or she is a failure and they are simply worthless, they are literally just
The fact that one has the right to say and believe is the foundation for democracy to function. If no one dared to say their opinions, then it had become a dictatorship where only one opinion on how society and the country should work had been the “right”. If people dared to express their opinions, they will help improving the society one lives. Freedom of speech gives one the responsibility to consider what fits into different contexts, and it will make us better persons and people. Simply, people will feel safe in the society they live in.
Everyone knows that life is not easy all of the time, and everyone will make mistakes. Making mistakes is an inevitable part of being human. However, it is what you choose to do afterwards that matters. Successful people choose to leave it in the past, and to learn from it in the future. It is hard to be successful if all of the focus is on failure.
So making a bad decision is never fun. I’d like to think that most of us prefer not to make them but can’t help to sometimes because we think a bad decision isn’t that bad. It might even be a good one in the right mind set. The point of this paper being to reflect on a pass choice looking at it with the elements of critical thinking. My bad decision is one I think most are guilty of, waiting until the last minute on something important.
These mistakes are realized only when you go through the same situation as you made them go through. This is necessary to happen as this is when you actually realize your mistake and you know that you will never repeat the same mistake again, as you have also felt the same pain and know the exact consequences of the mistake. Another example of a mistake that hugely affected the people was of the great depression which took place in America. The outcome of living happy go lucky and purchasing things with no cash brought about a sudden fiasco.
As human beings, we are all born with an entitlement of freedom of speech or synonymously known as freedom of expression as it is a basic human right. It is stated in the Federal Constitution and it is important for us human beings to protect our rights to freedom of speech and expression as it is the backbone for a democratic society. Having the right to express oneself freely without any restrictions is an essential part of what it means to be a free human being. Article 10 in the Federal Constitution states that; (a) every citizen has the right to freedom of speech and expression; (b) all citizens have the right to assemble peaceably and without arms; (c) all citizens have the right to form associations.
