The Holocaust was the massacre of 11 millions people by the Nazis, six millions of them were Jews. The original meaning of “holocaust” in Greek is “sacrifice by fire,” so the Nazis planned massacre of the Jews. The Hebrew word "Shoah," which means "misery, destroy, or waste," is also used for mass murder. The Nazis used "the Final Solution" to mention their plan of murdering Jewish people. After Nazi conquered Germany in 1933, they believed Germans were better than they were.
The Holocaust was an execution of 8 million Europeans, and “ 6 million of the Europeans killed were Jewish women, children, and men that were brutally murdered” (Strahinich 7). It “was a catastrophe in our modern history” (Strahinich 7) now staining our history pages with hundreds of innocent people’s blood, forever lost in the grounds of the Holocaust. It took “place in Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Latvia, and Czechoslovakia” (Altman 9) is some of the places where hundreds died. Thanks to “Adolf Hitler” (Strahinich 8) and “the Nazis government” (Strahinich 10), they “plunged most of Europe” (Allen 7) into turmoil, taking lives that did not need to go. The Holocaust is a time in history when millions of people were persecuted in Europe by being sent to live in ghettos and eventually being deported to concentration camps where they were systematically annihilated until the Allied forces liberated the remaining survivors.
The Holocaust is a historical event that the murdered around 6 million Jews and 5 million non-Jews. The Jews were also used for harsh labor, experiments, and starvation (Steele 6-7). The reason for this mass murder was that a leader during the time named Adolf Hitler wants to make his country an anti-semitic country (Steele 22). This tragedy took place all over Europe the main location was in Auschwitz, Germany (Blohm 6). Jews were a main target in The Holocaust, but some other victims were Roma, Sinti, disabled, and any other opposing religions (Steele 7).
Both of these insane dictators annihilated millions of people, even their own people for unjustified reasons. The Holocaust eradicated over six million Jews and two-thirds of the population in Europe. Under Hitler’s rule, the Jews, and other minorities were tortured, dehumanized, starved, shot, gassed, and incinerated. Pol Pot’s people were tortured just as the Jews when he targeted and killed almost a half-million Chinese for no reason. In the Holocaust, many Jews died just from the walk from one concentration camp to another.
This was the hell that was run by the evil Germans, six millions of Jews sacrificed in it. Night, a terrifying account of the Nazi death camp written by Elie Wiesel, explores the inhumanity among people, the place family plays in terrible circumstances and the place hope plays in the Holocaust. Through Night, Elie Wiesel paints a depressing picture about the loss of humanity. The Germans were going to defeat, but Hitler made the promise that he will annihilate all the Jews before the clock strikes twelve. The German government and German society attempted to redefine Jews as sub-human, and then as creatures who deserved to die.
The Nazi Party was founded in 1919 and shortly after, Hitler became the leader in 1921. Adolf Hitler’s goal was to purify the German race. The holocaust includes dehumanization, organization, polarization. The Holocaust ruined the lives of so many innocent people as well as leaving a horrific dent in history by being the worst genocide in the world. The victims of the holocaust were taken to the concentration camps by train.
He fled Warsaw and headed East to get away and make a plan. When he returned to Warsaw with his girlfriend the Nazis had already taken over and created barbed wired ghettos. He became active in the underground movement to help people escape this horrific place. There were many ghettos, extermination camps, and labor camps that were destroying the Jewish population. “Hitler and other Nazi leaders viewed the Jews not as a religious group, but as a poisonous "race," which "lived off" the other races and weakened them”(Mordechai Anielewicz).
This event was similar to slavery with the Native Americans when they were held against their will when the white men was taking over. The holocaust with the jews is an example of hatred and genocide . I believe the holocaust is one of the worst event that happen to mankind history because of the nuremberg laws, propaganda, and anti-semitism There is a lot of things the germans did to make the jews suffer.
The Holcaust was the persecution, and deliberate murder of six million jews. The Holocaust took place in Europe and all over the globe.Holocaust started in 1930 and ended in May 8th, 1945. Adolf Hitler was pushing anti-Semitism, and people followed him. The Holocaust had many causes that include scape goating, anti-semitism, and dehumanization. Many Jews were effected by the Holocaust.
The Holocaust In the late 1930’s Adolf Hitler had decided that the world would be better off if there were no Jewish people. All Jewish kids were kicked out of all Activities and school. The Gestapo Police were policemen that only followed Hitler's orders, they were ordered by Hitler to imprison or kill all unwanted people, such as blacks, Polish, disabled, and homosexuals. (Mackay 6) The Holocaust was a murder of 6 million Jewish people. That was over 40% of the world's Jewish population.
