The Holocaust was a systematic genocide in which Adolf Hitler 's Nazi Germany killed about approximately six million Jews. The Nazis, who rose to supremacy in Germany in January 1933, believed that Germans were "racially superior" and that the Jews, considered "inferior," as an alien threat to the so-called German racial community. In the initial years of the Nazi control, the National Socialist government established concentration camps to imprison real and imagined political and ideological opponents. Nazi Germanys largest concentration camp known as Auschwitz, which has turned out to be the greatest emblematic site of the “final solution,” a fundamental synonym for the Holocaust. The Auschwitz complex was divided into three major camps: Auschwitz 1 served as the main slave labor camp, Auschwitz 2 as an extermination camp and Auschwitz 3 the work camp. It evolved into a system of camps where Jewish people and other alleged victims of the Nazi state were exterminated, often in gas chambers, otherwise used as slave labor. One of them also functioned for an extended period …show more content…
In total, approximately 1.1 million Jews were deported to Auschwitz. The new arrivals at Auschwitz underwent selection. The SS staff determined the majority to be unfit for forced labor and sent them immediately to the gas chambers, which were disguised as shower installations to mislead the victims. For those that do not know, the SS are elite organization within the Nazi party that served as Hitler 's personal guard and included police units and special forces, carrying out mass killings of civilians and overseeing concentration
There were more than 40,000 camps in the years of 1933 and 1945. The camps were used to hurt people, murder them, work for the Nazis, and many more terrible things. In September 1939 the Nazis opened a forced labor camp where many jews were starved, exposure, and being extremely tired. In a few camps they would do medical experiments on the prisoners. Sadly many people died from gas chambers where the prisoners had gas sprayed in there faces to the point of death.
The facilities at these camps like heat, washrooms, and toilets were all very scarce. When present, these facilities were often poorly managed and in very inhumane conditions. The prisoners at these camps were almost always of Jewish descent except for the majority of war-related prisoners and were kept in ordinary prison cells. Auschwitz was the name of a very well-known camp in a Nazi-controlled part of Poland during The Holocaust. In Auschwitz, they used various forms of torture including gas chambers, crematoriums, various beatings, and individual torture.
Some of the Jews that survived at Auschwitz were liberated. Auschwitz was a killing center for the jews or others that the Nazis were against. Called the undesirables. Some punishments and executions they used were shooting, hanging, starvation to death, and the post. The text states, “The victim’s hands were tied behind his back and he was hung from a post so that his feet could not touch the ground.
The Holocaust was the wide scale murder and extermination of Jews during the Nazi Regime. The Holocaust was undoubtedly a world-changing reality of World War II. Approximately six million Jews died during the Holocaust. Jews were placed in concentration (extermination) camps and forced to work until their subsequent, often inevitable, death.
At the Concentration camps, which there were around 40,000 camps or incarceration sites, they did hard labor, the victims were malnourished and abused. The ‘Jews’ get murdered in large groups. For example: Burning them in boiling water, starvation, having the Jews dig pits; shooting them down in their own grave, and the most famous, gas chambers. Gas Chambers was a large room where the Nazi’s piled the Jews into, and locking them in and opening a hole at the top where they would let the gas flow in; killing them all in the matter of minutes.
Shortly before the outbreak of war, SS and police officials incarcerated Jews, Roma, and other victims of ethnic and racial hatred in these camps. To concentrate and monitor the Jewish population as well as to facilitate later deportation of the Jews, the Germans and their collaborators created ghettos, transit camps, and forced-labor camps for Jews during the war years. The German authorities also established numerous forced-labor camps, both in the Greater German Reich and in German occupied territory.
The Horrors of Auschwitz The Holocaust, which started in 1933 and continued to 1945 was an awful time where Jews were murdered and sent to concentration camps to die. In Poland one of the largest concentration camps, Auschwitz, where 1.3 million people died. Auschwitz, the death camp, was a horrible place where many people died, lost hope, and were stripped of civilization all because of their religion and race.
The very first concentration camp was set up in Dachau, Germany in 1933. Concentration camps kept opening up and being used all the way through to the end of World War II in 1945. As so many camps opened their had to be someone to build them for the prisoners of war, and believe it or not it was the prisoners themselves who had to build their own soon to be torture and sleeping chambers. In the Holocaust up to 6 million Jewish citizens died in either concentration camps or on the street. In the concentration camps people were either killed by being shot, gassed with poisonous gasses, tortured, or by catching a deathly disease or virus but prier to this they had to live in poor, poor living conditions.
Hundreds of thousands were sent directly to the gas chambers in death camps. As the Allies advanced on the camps, death marches further depleted the ranks of potential camp

Did you realized that from the early 1942’s to the late 1944’s, at least 1.1 million prisoners died at Auschwitz?Auschwitz was a network of German Nazi concentration camps and extermination camps built by the Third Reich in polish areas annexed by Nazi Germany during WWII.Genocide at extermination camps was initially carried out in the form of mass shooting. However, the shootings provide to be psychologically damaging to those who are being asked to pull the triggers. The Nazis next then tried mass killing by blowing victims up with explosives. Concentration camps were a horrific part of WWII because of Hitler’s dislike for Jews. The Jews had no shoes, not that much food, and poor clothing.
The Jews did not really start being placed in concentration camps until 1934. The reason for this is because that is when the SS got its independence from the SA, which meant the SS could do more of what the Nazis asked them to do(CONCENTRATION). The concentration camps were awful. The prisoners were forced to do a useless and hard task.
People were sent to concentration camps to be detained under harsh conditions which eventually led up to their deaths. These camps helped carry out Hitler’s “Final Solution” plan. The Nazi’s first established camps in Poland because they had the largest population of Jewish people. They’re main plan when creating these camps was mass murder.
The first concentration camps were set up for Polish prisoners and officials. The camps were labor camps where the detained would be forced to do grueling work with harsh, long hours. The first camps also housed many misfits including gypsies, roma and transgender people who the Nazi saw as weak, and intolerable. After the occupation of Poland in late 1939 the Nazi started capturing the Jews and putting them into the camps where they started to talk about the “Final Solution” or the end of all the Jews, and possibly of the whole world. The Nazi tried to hide this plan as much as possible, to not seem cruel when they actually were.
The Nazis believed the Germans were “racially superior” and the Jews were inferior (The Holocaust). Over 6 million Jews lost their lives during the Holocaust (The Holocaust). The main targets were Jews, disabled, Gypsies, and slavic people (The Holocaust). If they did not match the “social norms”, they were killed (The Holocaust). Between the years 1941 and 1944, Jews were deported to concentration camps where they were then killed (The Holocaust).
