“Bye Mom and Dad” It was these words that began to change Ariana Gening’s and Jack Gening’s lives as two children in 2100 forever. They didn’t know it, but a couple of minutes after these words, they would never be the same. Jack said, ”Do you want to make Bob nice?”

Ariana replied,“Why not, he’s a big bully.”

This was Ariana’s power, being able to bend people to her will with a charming voice. But they couldn’t do this yet because they still had to go to school. Teacher L. had assigned the small class of Jack, Ariana, Ben, Bob, and Marina homework that was due that day.

At school Jack and Ariana exclaimed in perfect unison, ”Hi Ben, hi Marina, hi Bob, hi Teacher L.”

The other thing was that they had named Ariana’s gift” a golden gift” and were saying that every person that contained this gift should report to the government in order to get a reward. Her roommate’s was that he, Joe, could turn into a giant spider at will. Some people had amazing ones, like seeing through walls, teleporting, and flying. Others were crazy, like Joe’s. She had suspected since day one that there was a way out. After all, how else did they get food to them. There were no farms or animals, so the food was produced by people outside the hub. She explored a new bit every day. What she didn’t know was that the entrance was heavily guarded. She found that out and, after a successful day, went to sleep.

One year later The group had never forgotten the message that had been displayed that day, even when running from the same government that had once been helpful.
