The massive explosion caused burning debris to shower over the surrounding buildings and onto the streets below, which made it clear that America was now under attack. Bush began to change the United States. Three days after these attacks George W. Bush stood at Ground Zero where the twin towers were still smoking and spoke to our country with peace. He spoke to first responders and firefighters that they were all in the country's prayers. Bush spoke from the heart on that day with a combination of gratitude towards the rescue workers, defiance toward the terrorists and with pride that they would bring justice to the evil doers. He started what began to be called the Global War on Terrorism.

Little did we know that this would affect the nation for years to come. Shortly after the attacks on 9/11 the Government acted very quickly. As stated in an article by Jaeshin Kim, “The Bush Administration launched the bombing of Afghanistan, and Congress passed the USA PATRIOT Act allowing law enforcement powers to detain foreign nationals or immigrants suspected of terrorism” (Kim 1). In situations as these, the President has no option but to quickly react, so he did.

The shock and disbelief of 9/11 revealed that America felt that something like this could not possibly happen to us. It showed that the security of our country had been compromised

The Passengers of United Flight 93 On Tuesday, September 11, 2001, members of al Qaeda hijacked and crashed four American airliners. This attack on American soil resulted in nearly 1.4 million pounds of debris. The financial impact in New York alone was over $30.5 billion dollars (“22 Facts About 9/11”). It lead to three thousand deaths, including the deaths of first responders such as firemen and policemen (“9/11 Attacks”).

Chaos. Grief. Anger. As a nation we all remember a horrific time in our history that occurred over thirteen years ago. Though I was only five years old at the time, I remember the events of September 11, 2001 as if they happened yesterday.

The 9/11 tragedy was a moment where people had their guard up at all times. This was a time where life had strike to reality of time warfare with every person and country. Couldn’t trust no one that came to the U.S. America is the land of the free and the home of the brave, were brave because the generations before us had to face what had happened and to what is going to happen. This had left the buildings torn instantly killing hundreds of many people, getting them stuck in the higher floors. This attack was the worst in America ever since the Pearl Harbor All over our nation saw a major impact of devastation in the face of the September 9, 2001attacks.

It showed that even the most powerful country in the world was subject to attack. This attack exposed the vulnerability of the United States as a nation. The 9/11 attacks changed the country forever; some lost family members, friends, and those who survived are forever hunted by the events of September 11, 2001. The entire country was in pandemonium including my family.

Do you remember the day that changed America forever? Two hijacked planes crashed into the side of the Twin Towers in New York City killing thousands. Another plane went into the pentagon and the last was stopped before it got to its destination. In the afternoon of September 11, 2001 George W. Bush delivered a speech that gave relief to the American people after the massacre. This was a disturbing moment in our history that shook the very foundation of America.

Given the name, bombings, it is a method in which the terrorists use bombs or any other type of explosive to kill anyone who does not believe in their beliefs or ideology. To go more in depth of bombings, there are the physical plantation of the bombs itself where the terrorist plants the bomb. Also, there is the method of suicide bombing, where the person themselves sacrifices themselves in hope of living a higher life in heaven. Another bombing method used is car bombings, where given in the name, a car is used to disguise the bomb to make it harder for law enforcement to detect the bomb. An example of the use of bombs is the 2013 Boston bombing.

The United States responded to the attacks by launching a global “War on Terror,” which involved military interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as covert operations against terrorist groups around the world. This led to a significant shift in the balance of power in the Middle East and a renewed focus on the region by Western powers. It also strained relations between the United States and many Muslim-majority countries, leading to a rise in anti-American sentiment and a perception of the United States as an aggressive and imperialistic power. Thirdly, the attacks of 9/11 had a significant impact on domestic politics in the United States.

Security and personal privacy had been breached and became tighter due to the fear of another unexpected attack. This made our personal privacy less private similarly they made airport security much much strict from getting full body scans to interrogation rooms. Right after 9/11 America faced mass deportation, the immigration laws and deportation had been on a rise in the co-relation with the 9/11 attack. The last but not least change that was made by 9/11 was the beginning of everything bad. The war declared to fight against terrorism without any solid ground of proof was the beginning of the clash between the west and the east it had ignited sparks between the regions and created the terrorism that we face today.

Families of people who had experienced this event were never the same. This terrorist attack has changed everyone whether they were physically there or just heard about it on the news. And it was all because of one person What happened this day not only affects back then but modern day. After 9/11 Americans were living in horror.
