Advancements in technology over the years has been drastic. Focusing just in the security field of technology has changed in the last couple of years. With more and more advancements in the technological field, consumers need to consider what is being bought when purchased. Advancements in security today, can have its benefits of keeping people safe as well as detriments to people’s privacy as in Ray Bradbury’s “The Veldt” demonstrated. Technology can be faster than the human brain. In the story “The Veldt”, technology played a huge role. In the story the “Happylifehome” was an advantageous invention to the people living inside for, when the family was out of food they didn’t have to go to the store. (Bradbury) “The house magically had whatever was needed laying on the table when needed.” (Bradbury) This house wasn’t your ordinary home. Anything needed or anything wanted was right at the doorsteps with this astonishing house.
Just like with the house, there will always be an eye on what is happening at all times with the new security system. This new system will allow a smartphone to connect to the camera to see what is happening at any time of day or night.
