1. Introduction
Tropical climate is beneficial for agriculture since it provides enough sunlight throughout the year and sufficient rainfalls. As one of the developing countries in South-East Asia under the tropical environment, Indonesia still depends on agriculture as one of its national income sources. According to the Statistic of Indonesia from 2010-2014 (Badan Pusat Statistik, 2015), the agriculture sectors give around 13.38% contribution to the national Gross Domestic Product. These sectors are also beneficial for food resources, and for providing high quantities of job for the countries’ rural citizens, especially in the most populated island in Indonesia, Java. Agriculture activities in Java are crucial that indicated by the abundance agricultural fields.

Agricultural fields in Java are generally small in scale and unsystematic to fit the hilly topography condition. The intercropping systems following the seasonal pattern are also widely adapted by the Javanese farmers to increase yield and to obstruct the pest invasion. This system can be found in the upland fields where rice is cultivated with other subsidiary crops such as maize. The large and complex agricultural fields in Java require not only the statistical but also spatial analysis, in order to understand and monitor the agriculture condition. However, the spatial information for agriculture in Indonesia, in general, is lack of updating and is depending on time consuming field
The temperature in a rainforest varies from 68 to 93 degrees Fahrenheit. The average temperature of a rainforest is about 77 degrees Fahrenheit. Rainforests are never found in climates with the temperatures of 32 degrees Fahrenheit or below because plants in a rainforest will not be able to survive in the cold weather. In the lower canopy, there is little air movement as a result of the humidity is constantly
The relationship between Australia and Indonesia over the years has changed for many reasons. These reasons are seen throughout time frames that I have chosen. In 1940’s Australia became allies with Indonesia as Indonesia goes through the battle for independence. The second reason of change was when Menzies increased the relationship with Indonesia, making it stronger, this increased trade.
If the amount of grass is reduced in the ecosystem, the entire food chain will be affected greatly. Due to a smaller food source, the primary consumers, the savanna hares, will also experience a decrease in population since the new amount of grass can not sustain the initial amount of savanna hares. Since the savanna hare population decreases, the food source for the secondary consumers, the caracals, will also experience a decrease in population. The caracals do feed off of other animals, but it is likely these animals are also affected by the decrease in grass. The total food supply for the caracals decreased, so the caracals will experience a decrease in population.
Jack Maxwell Mrs. Mason Ap Human Geography February 25, 2023 History of Agriculture The earliest forms of agriculture can be traced back to approximately 10,000 years ago. Back then, there was no technology used in agriculture, everything was muscle powered, whether it be by man or animals like horses and cattle.
The Nutty Professor Why is agriculture so important? Agriculture is the process of farming animals and plants for human consumption. This process is important because it controls what we put into our body. Naturally, any change made in this field affects everyone. One man made significant contributions to this practice.
The two biomes that will be examined in this essay are the tropical rainforest biome and the hot desert biome. Both biomes will be researched with reference to their climate and soil characteristics, the information gathered will be then be compared and contrasted under the two characteristics that will be examined. 1. Climate Climate is an important characteristic of a biome as it establishes what kind of soil will develop there, in addition to what fauna and flora will be able to live in the area. Temperature and precipitation are the main impacts on the biome.
Negative Human Impacts on Tropical Rainforests One of the major negative human impacts touching the tropical rainforests currently is deforestation. Deforestation is clearing large areas of forest land for non-forest uses. The main purpose land is cleared is for agricultural reasons. Farmers need this land to grow their crops on and to feed their cattle with.
The manipulation of land has allowed civilizations to create intricate systems for the transportation of water and the production of agriculture. Different crops require specific landscapes in order to grow, and one of the most important forms of agriculture is terrace farming. Terrace farming is widely used to produce rice and wheat by creating a landscape creates steps within the landscape so the flow of soil nutrients are carried down from various levels. The Incas are credited the most for the development of terrace farming, and today it is still a popular method of farming. These innovative methods of agriculture help us create new ways to manipulate the environment without utterly demolishing it.
Human civilization evolved over a period of time. People’s life, behaviour and adoption have been changed from gathering and hunting to urbanization stage. In the beginning, people were depending on gathering and hunting then they reached the stage of cultivation of crops and this way agriculture began. At that time people did agriculture from bare hands, later on, plough developed. At that time, agriculture production is low because of lack of agricultural knowledge and technological inputs were also low which bind the whole family to work in agriculture fields.

The concept of climate change may be one of the greatest threats to our modern day life and the future of our planet. Climate singlehandedly is able to impact natural resources, vegetation, and human impacts on an area which and effectively destroy the functionality of an ecosystem. Many climate change deniers use the formal definition of climate to support the idea that climate change and global warming does not exist - they believe that climate is simply the natural changes in weather over time. However, the change we have been witnessing over the past decade is anything but naturally occurring. There is an overwhelming consensus in the scientific community of its existence and us as a species can no longer deny it while sweeping it under
Agriculture is the modification of Earth’s surface through the cultivation of plants and animals through the cultivation of plants and animals to obtain economic gain. It was also a key development for the rise of the domestication of animals. Although, its origins cannot be documented for certainty because agriculture began before recorded history, scholars believe that it was started in Southwest Asia. Also, agriculture entails selective breeding of animals with combinations of inherited characteristics that benefits humans. Around the world, agriculture’s steps are the same, but the type of animals that were raised or cultivated differently.
Introduction: “Sustainable agriculture is the efficient production of safe high quality agricultural products, in a way that protects and improves the natural environment the social and economic conditions of farmers their employees and local communities and safe guard the health and welfare of all farmed species“ There are three main principles of sustainable agriculture, the three principles are: 1. Economic sustainability 2. Environmental sustainability 3. Social sustainability With the human population continuing to rise, it is vital that the agricultural industry becomes more sustainable to meet the needs of the growing population. One of the impacts of this growing population is an increase in land usage for settlement purposes.
Even though agricultural happens in all states of America, it’s particularly concentrated in the Green Plains, a vast of flat land, the arable land is in the center of US and in the region around the Great Lakes as known as the Corn Belt. (Agriculture in the United States). The small farms in US are decreasing and since 1946 the people who are working in agriculture has been cut to half. 40% of the land in United States is used for agriculture. The largest single crop includes corn which are accounted for more than half of the nation’s crop.
