What are the qualities of an effective leader? As well as providing direction, inspiration, and empowerment, effective leaders evince courage, passion, confidence, dedication, and aspiration. They stimulate the strengths and talents of their followers and build teams committed to attain common goals. Being insightful can help a leader be more effective in communication to know the needs of their team. The most effective leaders have goals in common with their followers.
Being able to speak effectively and ensuring that all of the information is provided to whoever is being spoken to is an important detail. When employees are given thorough directions, it helps build confidence in his or her leader. Another characteristic a charismatic leader should have is confidence, not only in time, but also in his or her employees. Employees gain confidence in themselves when their leader provides effective criticism along with praise for jobs that have been completed well. Martin Luther King Jr. would be an example of a charismatic leader.
Barrier and challenges will always be there. But this should not make him or her lose hope. Instead the challenges should be used as opportunities of trying out new leadership strategies. For example, if you are a leader in a particular organization, you will meet external pressure from other competitors. Thus, if this happens make sure that you organize well your people and work in order to keep your organization thriving, instead of failing.
This assessment is measuring the level and skills of the personal leadership. Also, the leader should not only guide others to ensure great professional success, but also to inspire, influence, and most importantly, motivate his employees. It is important that the leader should motivate himself first to become a motivational leader. He should be striving toward excellence and that by committing to becoming everything he is capable of becoming. Also, motivational leader can be throwing whole his heart into doing the job in an excellent way and keeping continually for ways to help employees to improve their performance and achieve their goals.
The main purpose of our society is to be successful in life and a positive impact. The first value that’s important is being brave. It’s important to be brave because then people will look up to you, want to be just like you, and count on you for things. The second value that’s important is being a caring person. It’s important to be caring because in society people will know that they can count on you when they need you the most.
Sympathy is not a valid basis for compromising one’s values. Both kindness and strength are imperative aspects of a successful leadership, and I hope to illustrate each in poise. The ambition to complete tasks and improve all aspects within a system is a significant element of success. The ability to create and implement an idea within a team setting is what defines a leader.
Leadership is taking a group of people and being able to influence and motivate them to complete a task that is better for the organization. In order to be a good leader, you need to be able to have the trust of the people you are influencing and motivating. This trust is not given to you, it is earned. This trust is earned by the leader’s attributes which is what people see when they say that is a good leader.
You get what you work for, not what wish for. Goals aren’t easily fulfilled, you have to work hard at them. Having personal goals motivates a person to become more successful. I strongly believe in setting goals because I feel a sense of accomplishment when I achieve these goals. It will improve their happiness level if they accomplish something great.
In fact, I believe that my strengths are critical in a leadership position as they promote an organization to progress on a path to success, leading to the best possible scenario in my endeavours. Through these principles, I believe that my ideal leadership style is one that is quite democratic in nature, as I strive to get everyone involved in pursuit of a common goal. For that reason, I will strive to work on my leadership traits in order to become the best possible leader that I can be. Therefore, becoming a favorable leader of an organization is a challenge, but one that is easily accomplished through focusing on and improving one’s strengths and weaknesses which encompass their standards for outstanding
Path‐goal theory identifies several leadership styles: • Achievement‐oriented. The leader sets challenging goals for followers, expects them to perform at their highest levels, and shows confidence in their abilities to meet these expectations. This style is appropriate when followers lack job challenges. • Directive. The leader lets followers know what is expected of them and tells them how to perform their tasks.
John Quincy Adams once said “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” In order to be a great leader in life one needs to have skills in teamwork, be responsible, and strive for success. Being a leader requires skills in the department of teamwork. A person should communicate with their peers on the task-at-hand. Said person should be clear when giving instructions and always help people that may not have understood.
I believe leadership is a relationship. The relationship with supervisors, subordinates, and peers is an ongoing process that takes practice to become a better leader. Along with practice we must re-evaluate our leadership philosophy throughout our careers. Upon my own re-evaluation I am renewing my aspiration and commitment to our team. A leader is someone who takes initiative and leads the group. A true leader doesn’t try to lead, they just do. A leader is effective in whatever they might be doing. Leaders have a significant role in the community; without our great pool of leaders, from all corners of our lives, our country would most likely be headed into a downhill spiral.
