Although some criteria of Blue Flag applicable to coastal zone management, it is adequate to properly assist management of beaches and does not guarantee the quality of the beach. Although this award mechanisms aims to attract tourism, it does not account public perceptions to this strategy. Most of these rating schemes highly focus on recreational nature of beaches, giving lesser attention for the organization and the dynamics of various beach associations, geomorphology, performance of governing bodies and objectives. This is helpful when estimating the degree of human pressure on coastal environment and assessing its carrying capacity. Public Perceptions such as beach visitor interests, opinions, their demands and intentions provide a bottom up outlook for the management of beach resources.(Roca, Riera et al. 2008) Beach Visitors usually bear complex opinions regarding beach management. They may be either satisfied or dissatisfied with the coast administrators. Therefore conflicts can occur regarding environment preservation, social traditions and beach development. Gathering information on public perceptions provide useful clues about visitor demands, motives an interests. This type of information can be received through a beach visitor profile that include data on age, origin, accompanying people…etc. A study conducted about British holidaymakers in Turkey 998 revealed that middle aged people (25-44) were the highest percent in the respondent sample. In the same time senior citizens had a low percentage. According to that study most of the respondents had yearly household income between £20 000 and £29 999 which is 28.9%.The net prominent income group lies between £30 000 and £39 999 which is 25.6%.Visitors who earn £50 000 or more income were also noticed .Apartments and Hotels were the most preferred two accommodation types. According to that study most notable motivations of visitors were enjoying the good weather, relaxing, forgetting everyday problems, having fun and enhancing the knowledge.
