The puzzling question, if brains or brawn are more superior in sports, is something that scientist, psychologists, and athletic examiners around the world have been trying to figure for decades. Not one person yet has come to an answer to feed those sports enthusiasts, who either vote one or the other. In reality brains and brawn are equally as important for athletic success for many reasons. Like philosopher Plato said many years ago, “He who is only an athlete is too crude, too vulgar, too much savage. He who is a scholar only is too soft, to effeminate. The ideal citizen is the scholar athlete, the man of thought the man of action.” Therefore, you must have brains and brawn to succeed at sports. When you are at the bat, about to make a basket, going for a touchdown, or either about to do a full twisting backflip on the balance beam you are using so much of your mental stamina you might not even realize it.
