The branches in the United States government are executive, legislative and judicial. All of these branched function together and are part of the bureaucracy of the United States. When comparing all branches an easy way to look at them is an executive is the law, essentially the president. Whereas legislature is where laws are being made, or denied. Lastly the judicial branch is the supreme court. All of these branches come together to make America a democracy. Bureaucracy is the where the most important of decisions will be made and decided upon by the elected official. The executive branch is the law the branch that makes sure laws are executed. The executive is responsible for daily government functions, that they are properly functioning the way they should. When it comes to the legislature they have the important job of making and amending laws. They can fix flaws or make adjustments accordingly to the bills they will be voting on. The executive branch may have issues with some of the bills the legislature is presenting, and decide not to sign it into law. Which in turn would cause issues such as the vetoing and this could cause quite a stir within the branches. Issues within the legislature are people have problems with some issues that are outdated but have not been adjusted as of yet. Legislation has a lot of various issues because they process different bills and some are controversial. Gerrymandering is one of those issues that is a problem and the legislature would need to fix this by changing electoral districts, it may have made sense at one time but not now. Some of the problems within the judicial branch are setting laws for lower courts, the problem with this as with the other branches are that no everyone will agree with decisions or bills or laws being brought to the table, they may seem unfair or
The Legislative branch and the Executive branch are given their own individual jobs. They may be able to do what they are given, but if they do something illegal, the judicial branch comes in. This is seen in document 3, it demonstrates checks and balances. The legislative lions and Executive Eagles show how the
Answer: The U.S. Constitution includes checks and balances between different branches of the federal government to ensure that a branch won't become too powerful and overuse its authority. One example of checks and balances between the executive, legislative, and judicial branches is the Presidential veto. The executive branch has the ability to veto legislation that is passed by the legislative branch. But the legislative branch can overlook a presidential veto if they decide to use a ⅔ majority vote in the H.O.R. and the senate. This makes sure that the legislative process cannot be abused by the
With the formation of the Constitution came the formation of the three branches of the U.S. government: the Legislative Branch, the Executive Branch, and the Judicial Branch. Each branch had its own duties and responsibilities independent of the others and also checked the powers of the other two to make sure they did not abuse
These three branches have certain duties for instance, the legislative branch or sometimes referred as congress consists of two parts the House of Representatives and the Senate which are in charge of making the laws. The executive branch enforce the laws and is lead by the President. Moreover, the judicial branch is composed of courts such as the Supreme Court, Courts of Appeal, and District Courts and examine if a law is constitutional. Separation of powers protects against tyranny because the power is separated in between three branches so that one branch won’t have all the
So as the wise James Madison once said, “...Liberty requires that the three great departments of power should be separate and distinct.”, we divided up the power fairly to keep a balanced triangle of power. In America, we have three branches of power, the Executive Branch, Legislative Branch, and the Judicial Branch. The Executive Branch is the President and Vice-President, their job is to enforce and carry out the laws made by the Legislative Branch. The Legislative Branch is the Congress, they make laws for the whole country. The Legislative Branch is made up of two sections, the House of Representatives and the Senate, each chosen by each state.
Under these three branches of government, the legislative branch (also known as Congress) creates laws. The executive branch enforces the law and
Each branch of government keeps the other two in check, can place restrictions one another, and are not independent. Each branch
There are state levels and federal levels of the executive branch, at state level the executive branch includes governors and also their staff and at the federal level the executive branch includes the President, the vice President, staffs of appointed advisors and a few other departments and agencies that may seem familiar such as the central intelligence agency and the federal bureau of investigation even the post office. The executive branch does many things, such as appointing federal judges and they deal in the nations domestic and foreign policies. Checks and balances are in place to limit the power of the executive branch. The limitations and accountability within the executive branch are through electorate and congress by both impeachment and over ride of executive
The executive branch enforces the laws, and provides for national interest. The last branch, the judicial branch interprets the laws and provides for the fundamental interest of America and its people. As Benjamin Franklin said, “For when you assemble a number of men to have the advantage of their joint wisdom, you inevitably assemble with those men, all their prejudices, their passions, their errors of opinion, their local interests, and their selfish views.” When you bring these branches together, you have all parts of America
just as any part this is very important to make a strong judicial government ensuring that justice is served fairly and impartially.the department that is incharge of this is the department of justice. The Department of Justice enforces federal laws, seeks just punishment for the guilty, and ensures the fair and impartial administration of justice.he 3 point into making the judicial branch serve fairly and impartially.what is fair and impartial judgment If a judge does not follow the law and makes rulings and decides cases according to that judge's own personal, political or religious views, then that judge is not fair and impartial.
“How Did the Constitution Guard Against Tyranny?” In the year of 1787, delegates met in Philadelphia to write the Constitution. Tyranny, which is a type of government with an absolute ruler, was a fear. For James Madison and the delegates, it was a challenge for them to write the Constitution that could be strong enough to hold the people and the states together without anybody taking over too much control. James Madison’s idea between central and state governments if Federalism (Document A).
The Executive branch executes laws and is the president. The Judicial branch judges laws and is the Supreme Court. The Legislative branch creates laws and is the House of Representatives and Senate. James Madison said in Federalist Paper #47 Document B, “the accumulation of all powers...in the same hands...may be justly pronounced the very definition of tyranny.” This helps protect from tyranny because the Separation of Powers prevents all power from being in the same hands.
In addition, the executive branch was responsible for enforcing or vetoing laws passed by Congress (in addition to its other powers). As for the judiciary, it is responsible for interpreting federal laws and the constitution and for overseeing the decisions made by the federal and state courts. Before when it was unable to address economic and boundary disputes, the judiciary under the constitution was able to address a wide range conflicts. Above all, these three branches of government share equal power to prevent one form of government from becoming too
The executive branch can check the laws congress wants to pass and can veto them if he disagrees. The Legislative branch can check the executive by accepting the already vetoed law and can impeach or fire the president out of office. The Justice Branch can make sure peoples rights and liberties are being followed and check if the laws follow the constitution's rules. In the text, it says “To further limit government power the framers provided for separation of powers the constitution separates the government into three branches Congress of the legislative branch makes the laws. The executive branch headed by the president carries out laws.
The branches of government are: (a) The Legislature: makes the law (The People’s Majlis –Article 5 and Article 70(a)) (b) The Executive: implements the law (The President and the independent commissions –Article 6- ) (c) The
