This level of personal magnetism is exceptionally rare. Even if you are terrible at what you do, if you can draw that kind of attention upon entering any space you are definitely doing something right. A hard worker lacking charisma barely gets his foot into the door whereas a charismatic hard worker gets people to open closed doors for them. You know you are capable but charisma is about getting others to give you a chance to prove your capability. It’s not really that complicated after all no one is born with charisma. Some people are naturally charismatic based on their environment and day to day dealings and some cultivate it over time based on experience. They are not taught in a class but cultivated within. Let’s begin with gravitas, someone who can be calm under pressure and maintain their level of dignity is gravitas personified. You have to prove in this ‘shorter than a baby’s attention span’ world how you can add value to a proposition. Most leaders oozing charisma do so with such nonchalance that ignoring them just seems so rude.
