Marriage is a memorable and jubilant celebration of the union of man and woman. However, a celebration should not be called for when an arranged or forced marriage of one or both sides of the relation are under the age of 18. Parents encourage and publicize their sons and daughters to marry for the benefit of supporting the rest of the family. During recent years, this act has come to target girls more. A violation of human rights, child marriage also deprives the childhood of young girls all over the world. While a family 's financial situation may improve in the decision of marrying off a daughter, the child bride experiences the impact of a lack of education, health consequences, and exploitation.

Opportunities to marry begin with menstruation presenting their new status as a woman. After marriage, the child bride experiences intense pressure to prove their fertility from their community and husband. Regarding education 's benefits of decision-making, older husbands assert their dominance by ignoring the child 's requests about sexual and reproductive opinions. The older husbands essentially take their young bride as a prisoner because of their age, vulnerability, naivety, and inexperience. Compared to adult women during childbirth, young girls are inclined to have complications in pregnancy and delivery.
