Specific ways in which the build theory can be advantageous include, an increase in innovative learning and greater cognitive flexibility (Garland, Frederickson, Kring, Johnson, Meyer, & Penn, 2010). Cognitive flexibility, in particular, is extremely important because it serves as a catalyst for improving skills such as accurate problem solving and improved creativity or brainstorming. Applying the broaden and build theory into my own experience completing the intervention was unequivocally that most valuable part. More specifically, the act of physically writing to someone and expressing my gratitude and thanks allowed me to connect with others and even embark upon new challenges, two quintessential aspects of the broaden theory. For example, during the third intervention I wrote an e-mail to a man by the name of Christian LeBlanc.
According to “Emotional Intelligence,” by Royale Scuderi, “We are also better able to understand and relate to those with who we are in relationships. Understanding the needs, feelings, and responses of those we care about leads to stronger and more fulfilling relationships.” To have a stronger, more structured relationship with someone, knowing what they need in the relationship is the best start, which is one of the things you learn to do when learning emotional intelligence. By working to give them what they need, that shows them you truly care, leading to a great bond between one person and another (whether it be friend, girlfriend, or boyfriend). It shows that they are willing to do whatever it takes to make them happy, and it even makes the other happy seeing their colleague happy. “The ability to recognize how people feel is important to success in your life and career.
This quote proves how appreciating instead of us complaining can give a lot. Including good vibrations. The image that is created of a person in society is based on the actions and the way a person talks along with their attitude. In the short story, “I Witness,” Michael Redhill states that “The true measure of success in life is how well we connect.” I absolutely agree with this statement because of how connecting with people has an enormous effect towards succeeding in life. Connecting well with people will give us many benefits and advantages such as getting varieties of opinions from different type of people, being taught life lessons and gaining more knowledge. Success is truly affected by having these benefits and advantages. Variety of people has different opinions and thoughts. Many of us face difficulties when it comes to decision making.
First of all, and possibly most obviously, is the fact that education allows people to have access to better jobs. The more education and training that a person has, the better suited they are to perform in better paying and more competitive jobs. Formal education also allows people to “cross boundaries between private and public spheres” (Stromquist, 2015, p. 313). This means that people will be able to be involved in both their private, domestic lives as well as the public life and society. Formal education also provides people with development of “knowledge, and, indirectly, the psychological dimensions of empowerment by increasing the students’ sense of self-esteem, efficacy, and future life aspirations” (Stromquist, 2015, p. 313).
Your post was informative. Our reception and perception in interpersonal communication is very important. Reception from my understanding deals with information received through our sense, such as, taste, touch, smell, sight, and hearing. This process involves our brains to sort, organize, filter and compare our sense. This will eliminate irrelevant information and allow the relevant information to flow through.

Communication with feedback is the most effective form of information transference, as the level of communication between two parties is more in sync. The reason why we communicate, is to transfer information and gather a greater understanding through conversation, issues or particular areas of interest. The best level of communication is when an individual is able to competently respond to what the other individual is saying. 1.2Explain how communication affects relationships in an adult social care setting Positive communication within an organisation
Basically, you should listen twice as much as you talk. Besides making the speaker feel valued, it also makes you, as a listener, seem reliable and courteous. Most importantly, listening more than talking helps us learn and grow as individuals, because you can learn from what others have to say, and are also exposed to various thoughts, ideas, and experiences. Through effective listening we learn to ask better questions, and are given room to read and understand body language, which can be very beneficial to all types of relationships. Listening also helps you understand your responsibilities across various levels of your life, and improves the overall quality and communication in your both, your social and personal
