A college education is very important for me to obtain the career I want. College will provide me the knowledge and practice I need to be successful. Going to college will help me get accustomed to the pressure of the real world and will give me the opportunity to become independent. Graduating college is my number one goal in life. It would be an awarding payoff for all the hard work and dedication to my studies throughout high school.
After long conversations with my husband and hours of thinking, I decided, that before I started the process of looking for school, or even applying for financial aid, I need to setting goals for myself. With doing this I was able to figure out when I wanted to start school and what time frame I wanted to finish in. Figuring out how much time I would be able to decicated to completing my degree was my first obstacle. Being a wife and mother of two little boy, in addtion to working a part time job, I found that I had some diffculties in this area. I overcame this by constructing a schedule which consist of all my daily obligitions as well as family time requirements and balanced time that my
I was always afraid of the mistakes I would make in grammar, or not have anything to write in my essays. Once I started writing, although it was very challenging I managed to complete them, as I sensed it was an important skill to possess. I also believed it would help me to become a more proficient writer for my other courses, therefore, I wanted to complete this course of study prior to the other classes. What I didn't comprehend was that this course would also make me a more self-assured individual. In new situations, it always makes me a bit
As a computer scientist, there’s nothing that annoys me more than when my friends ask me for help setting up their wireless internet, or when my mom calls and asks why her laptop keeps freezing. I try to tell them that I’m not studying computer repairs or computer usage, I’m studying computer science. But that doesn’t help, because nobody seems to know exactly what the term “computer science” means. When I urge my friends to take a computer science course, they shrug me off with comments like “I’m no good with computers” or “I don’t do science.” Assuming my friends aren’t just unadventurous, there must be some big misconceptions outside of the computer science community about what computer science is all about. Computer scientists are concerned

Returning to school is one of the most life changing things I have ever done for myself. After high school, I had no idea what I wanted to do with my life. Therefore, for a year and a half I stumbled through life trying to figure out what to do. How was I supposed to get a job if I did not have any experience? Luckily, I managed to land a job as a camp counselor, but something was still missing.
I soon realized I’ll be away from home often, and that’s not something I’d be able to do in life. I then realized that I didn’t know what I wanted to do after all, even after reaching my senior year. I’ve decided that I want to study nursing due to having to struggle with my family’s health. I’ve seen my father live in a nursing home on two separate occasions and noticed that some workers are very impolite and impatient. This helped me reach the conclusion that I want to care for people because there are some who do very unkindly, and it’s a way to become financially stable.
When it comes to college and my career, the workload will be more abundant and harder. By using what I have learned about myself, I can make my college life easier by time managing well and getting my assignments done. It does not stop there as I will also be able to make the most of my college career. When it comes to family, friends and relationships I will be to make time to spend with them instead of being stuck doing assignments. Social interactions will always be a part of everyone’s life.
