Computer games are games that are played by the support of computer systems. Players interact with screen displays on the computer by use of computer hardware’s like the mouse or the gaming pads. Mainly computer games are in place for entertainment purposes. Also computer games may refer to games played by a console machine. Different games are used by different age groups depending on the complexity of the game (Griffiths, 1995). Simple games like filling a color puzzle would be played by young children and complex computer games like arcade games can be played by teenagers who’s mental and intelligence capabilities are advanced. In the society computer games are common and are played by young people especially those in colleges and bellow. The older youths are not so much into the computer games maybe due to the complexities and added responsibilities like work in life. Playing computer games have spend so much time of the young generation, this has consequences on the lifestyle and their behaviors. Firstly, computer games are assumed to be time consuming for the young ( Grüsser, 2006). These games are addictive in nature for the fun they bring, just like drugs for those who are dependants one would not go for a day without holding a gaming pad and feel comfortable. As children grow up they tend to become what they experience in their early days as they grow up to around age six. Whatever they acquire either positive or negative goes back to the society .Children mental capabilities are enhanced while they are young and as noted computer games can contribute to this.
