In this course I hope to develop a better understanding of the human computer interface as well as learn to develop effective practices for using the Internet for continuing education as well as for professional, personal, and educational communication.

"In your own words, what is the difference between interpersonal communication and intrapersonal communication?"]
Interpersonal communication is what we use when people communicate with each other. We use this type of communication to help us to teach, explain things or to pass on information between individuals or groups. Whereas intrapersonal communication is the type of communication is what we use to help us clarify concepts within ourselves or reflecting on things we’ve learned this type of communication is more used within ourselves as individuals.

"Who coined the phrase 'global village '?"
The term global village was first coined by a man by the name of Marshal McLuhan. Though the term itself was coined from his research into the new electronic age, meaning that through the new electronic media our world would shrink into a village where we were all interconnected.

"Shedletsky and Aitken make a big deal about the 'paradoxical nature of Computer-Mediated Communication (CMC). ' Based on what you 've read so far, why do they make this claim? What about CMC is paradoxical?"
The reason they make this claim is that
One to one communication: One to one communication is a conversation between two people; which does not include a third person. This type of conversation has a start; which means the conversation has to start off with a greeting, one to one communication al so includes a middle section, which is when you and the person discuss the topic or of what your both going to be speaking about. This particular type of communication also needs an ending, for example when the conversation is coming to an end you can end it by saying “good bye” or “see you later”. Group communication: group communication is when everyone is involved in the conversation/ discussion, it works out best id there is someone in charge such as a team leader , who makes sure everyone

At the end of the day, they discover that they have more in mutual than they ever grasped. I will begin by choosing a scene from the movie and using it to explain what interpersonal communication is. The interpersonal transaction I chose to isolate was the scene where we see Bender and Claire going through each other’s wallet and purse.

Interpersonal Communication: Anthony and the movie Crash Interpersonal communication is the exchange of information between two or more people. The movie, Crash, is set in Los Angeles featuring characters from widely diverse cultural backgrounds. The movie focused on the characters having views that differed from those around them. Most of the characters seem to struggle with being other-oriented and lacking effective communication to get a point across.
During this semester, I gained a lot of skills and knowledge about interpersonal relations. As a human being, as a member of the "global village", everyone need to communicate with others. It is important to learn how to communicate well and how to build a healthy and positive interpersonal relationship with others. Like the textbook’ name “Looking Out Looking In”, we looked in the communication itself, looked out the language barrier, nonverbal messages and effective listening, and looked at relational dynamics. I learned and recognized about how environmental factors can impact our communication.
