Conflict is an inescapable and pervasive part of human life. It occurs amongst and between individuals, amongst and between teams and groups, and between diverse levels of an organization. Conflict has been attributed a bad name by its relationship with destruction, brutality, civil disorder, and war. These are a portion of the unproductive consequences of conflict when it takes a negative course. When it takes a productive course, conflict is possibly of impressive individual and social worth. It avoids stagnation, it empowers interest and curiosity, it is the medium through which issues can be circulated and inventive arrangements created, it is the engine of individual and social change.

There is a strong confirmation that conflicts are solvable (Wallensteen Peter, 2002, p.13). As such many conflict actors at one point or the other find themselves in negotiation processes. At a point a conflict results to a violent and destructive one, there have been other options and alternative direction of conflict. The fact that conflicts are solvable is also true that very soon or later conflict will be solved.

It is however necessary for measures to eradicate or end the conflicts to take place. By so doing we get to the aspect of conflict resolution to take place, since conflict is part of human life in order for peace and order to rein within a given group.
