When I still a kid,I have heard Ola Joseph said that "Diversity is not about how we differ. Diversity is about embracing one another 's uniqueness." I do not understand at first since it looked complicated for a kid to understand.But as I grew up for sixteen years ,I have been through the same situation by myself. From what I myself really understand,a race is a group of people who have their own set of beliefs,culture,religion and other peculiar characteristics.Invariably the members of a race are very proud of their race and would defend what they believe in or their way of life if they are threaten in any way.So when two or more races stay together in the same place ,conflicts are bound to happen.At best they just let each other live …show more content…

If we work together, we will be realized sooner than we had expected. Many people suppose that the Canadian society is diverse and problems such as discrimination and racism are not difficulties affecting this community. Here are four main things that describes diversity. Tolerance is acceptance and open-mindedness of different practices, attitudes, and cultures; does not necessarily mean agreement with the differences. Implies an acknowledgement, or an acceptance or respect.
Diversity is showing variety, or being different. It is clear that this could easily lead to the downfall of the United States we know today. When two people have a disagreement, in a way, it’s diversity. But if there is too much diversity, people could develop completely different ideas, which could lead to arguments, and then to separations.

Because I have high expectations that all my children can be successful, adjustments may be necessary because everyone is not the same (Burden, 2017, p. 115). It is vital that a spirit of understanding and edification is active amongst the students and from the teacher (Romans 14:19, King James Version) to produce fruits of mutual respect: reduced bias, positive academic outcomes, enhanced problem solving, and healthy group dynamics (Cousik, 2015, p. 54). For differences that stem from culture, gender, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status, the adjustments will involve bridging the cultural gap between the students’ diversity and the curriculum.
