Our society today is filled with lots of diversity. Everyone has insecurities, along with struggles they have to overcome. I once heard a quote that explained the way I was feeling, it read, “When life gives you every reason to be negative, think of all the reasons to be Positive. There’s always someone who has it worse.” Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been very insecure about myself, and how others view who I am. This brought a lot of negativity into my life and in the way I was thinking. Middle School really brought out all of my insecurities, and that’s when I got the title of being quiet. Everyone has a title, and that is mine. Sadly, taking that title away is nearly impossible. I have always been self conscious about saying what I think and expressing my feelings towards something. I don’t think I will ever know why I was built to be that way. I would always think I was the only girl feeling insecure about myself. …show more content…
Today, women especially, are always worried about their body image and the way society sees them. The internet plays a big role in the influence of a “perfect women.” This puts a negative impact on all women, causing them to be insecure about themselves. People today, do more of picking others apart, instead of building them up. All of this negativity takes a toll on the environment today.
I believe that if everyone were to spread positivity, then society would be a much more uplifting place. People tend to judge others about where they come from, their religious beliefs, what they post on social media, and even their own race. All of this judging is what causes people to be insecure. I know that when I heard someone making fun of me, I felt worthless and like no one cared about how I felt. Some people just have to be mean to feel complete, and there is nothing anyone can do about
My action speaks louder than words and people can perceive myself any way they want to because I don't care," but then I started to dig myself and I changed my mind. I am the type of person who doesn't really care about society but If I say I don't care about how people think about me, I would be lying. One thing that I know is that I want people to see myself as a grown up. I feel like everyone looks at me as a kid and I think it has something to do with the fact that I am the only child in my family.
How could diversity in the United States potentially lead to collapse? There are many elements that contribute to collapse. Whether it’s on a larger scale, like a country, or on a smaller scale, like a family. There is an infinite amount. But the most important one, is diversity.
When a person feels insecure they often try and take problems into their own hands to make others fail or look terrible, and this seems to make
Self confidence comes from within. No one can give it to me, or talk me into
Diversity in relation to people basically means we are all different. This could include our age, gender, where we live, our religious beliefs to how we dress. All these factors make us all individual and unique. Equality means we are all entitled to be treated fairly. We should all be given the same rights.
A. Diversity. Diversity means that all individuals are different and have their own characteristics unique to them and their own identity. Every individual should be treated fairly regardless of any reason, be it beliefs, culture, age or ability. B. Equality.
I had very low self-esteem as a child; which I kept with me for many, many years; and even now I don’t want to be around anyone who is domineering or pushing me around because it makes me nervous.” p.
I continue to feel that way but the I also think the way I carry myself offends people. Mostly because I'm not the ghetto, loud, and obnoxious girl the media and society thinks I should be, but I am very modest and humble and I have goals and aspirations. It’s hard to make it far simply because of the color of my skin or do things that will get me recognized. However, I will accomplished everything I set my mind too.
Its insecurity that is chasing you and standing in the way of your
The planet earth or also known as “The Blue Marble” is the third planet from the sun and the only planet that can harbour life. On this planet, there are a variety of species but the most notable ones are the humans, which are us. There are seven billion humans living on planet earth and each and every single one of them are diverse in many unique ways. With this diversity we are very different from each other. We are different in a lot of aspects of our lives, such as beliefs, race and cultural differences, with these differences it is no wonder why we need to instill a proper and better teaching method for our future generation so they can properly understand the significance of having harmony within diversity and if we want to make it a
While identity focuses on uniqueness such as how an individual is different from and similar to others, diversity focuses on the range of the difference and uniqueness such as race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, socio-economic status, age, physical abilities, religious beliefs, political beliefs, among others. Diversity should be seen as source of strength. However, it can also be a source of violence, oftentimes by those who fear or dislike difference. In the best light diversity is foundation for peacebuilding – since it enables us to draw strength and be respectful of difference. Identity and diversity are linked.
In the last few years, the world has been growing more than ever towards the cosmopolitan ideology. This is the result of ethnic heterogeneity, like racial and ethnic backgrounds, religion, culture and ability in a community of people, which continues to play a part in an individual’s or a country’s development. Such growth in variety has its pros and cons. The strengths of a diverse society are cognizance of humanity and ethnic cohesiveness. A flaw would be the possible making of a divided nation.
I picked a video that suggested 10 tips to get over low self-esteem. The first step was to stop comparing yourself to others. There is a lot of times where people think their life is so horrible because they pay way too much attention the “good life” that other people post online. It’s crazy how we compare our lives to people that only post the good parts of their lives. We don’t know majority of the people personally who we compare our life to but somehow they are the ones who bring our self-esteem down the most.
When people first hear the word “diversity” in regards to the workplace, they immediately think race. Although this is one of the main forms of diversity in the workplace, there are many other kinds that are prevalent in today’s society. Diversity in the sense of culture, age, gender, mental or physical abilities, etc are all common examples that occur today. The hospitality industry is a universal industry, so it is typical to find many different cultures in various locations at once. For example, on Carnival cruises, one would find that their housekeepers, waiters, or guest services employees hail from a variety of different locations across the world.
