Why does my teacher travel the world?
These days the world is in the palm of our hands. It is so easy to travel all over the place hardly without lifting a finger. One swipe on your IPhone and you will be in Nepal. Often teachers go to different courses around the world. I often wonder both how and why they get to go all over the world to learn, and what are they really doing? do their travels have an impact on student learning? Let us find out!
To be able to travel you need financing. What I would like to find out is how teachers get financial aid and how their travel and courses affect our learning. The program has an overall budget of 14.774 billion EUR under Heading 1 and of 1.680 billion EUR under Heading 4 of the EU Budget for the seven years (2014-2020). This shows that the EU want to spend a lot of

Siri think that now it is a lot more common to look to other countries. Travel is easier and the whole idea of the European Union, the fact that countries cooperate to such a great extent, is an advantage to all the citizens as well as the countries can benefit from it. Certainly, globalization comes in also because we are using English as our way to communicate, Siri explains. English is very important today and it is only going to expand and become more important in the future and more important for my generation. In a way, you could say that Drammen International also is a big factor in globalization.
To sum up globalization is unquestionably visible in education and Erasmus+ is making it all possible. Programs like Erasmus+ make it a lot easier to visit other teachers and connect on abroad scale. My teacher, Siri Hunstadbråten, has talked to us about how this program and the courses they offer do make it easier by investing a lot of money and believing in the program. So maybe we as student will start to notice that our teachers have been to other countries. I hope that it will make a positive

The use of irony in the two poems “The History Teacher” by Billy Collins and “Outdistanced” by Larry Rubin punctuated the shared theme that a willful lack of self-awareness can quickly lead to greater societal ignorance of what should shape humanity. Both poems present irony in the actions of the teacher and the young man and the effects that those ignorant actions have. For example, in “The History Teacher”, the teacher decides that in order to preserve the children’s innocence, he needs to keep them in the dark about the horrific events in history. He instead teaches them that, “The War of Roses took place in a garden” (11). This is ironic because the children's innocence is already gone as evidenced because they “torment the weak/ and the
Did the Board of education violate Mrs. Pettit right to privacy in my opinion no? Mrs. Pettit and her husband were a member of a swinger's club which promoted diverse sexual activities, and unfortunately for Mrs. Pettit, an undercover officer from the Los Angeles Police department was investigating the Swinger's club. Although this was a private party, the officer observed Mrs. Pettit engaging in three separate acts of oral copulation with three different men. Mrs. Pettit arrested due to violating Penal Code section 288a (oral copulation), which is illegal in California ( ). After the arrest Mrs. Pettit pleaded guilty to a plea bargain of outraging public decency.
I come from a military background which required me to do a lot of traveling as a child. I lived in Sicily, Italy for about four and a half years before moving back to the United States. Living in two different countries made me flexibility and tolerant which allows me to adapt and respect others cultures while maintaining my own. These qualities proved to be beneficial this previous summer while studying abroad Japan. I find these qualities essential especially for someone seeking to teach abroad, I feel any great teacher should first be a student themselves.
There is an old Moorish proverb that reads, “He who does not travel, does not know the value of man.” That quote resonates deep within me because I have a yearning to use my education to empower those in need. In order to do so, I need to see and experience the world outside of the one I am accustomed to. Curiosity is one of the traits that define the person that I am; because of this trait I always ask questions about the world around me and the people I meet. This is one of the driving forces behind my desire to venture outside of the United States to learn a new language and culture.
Globalization is a process of interaction and integration among the people, companies, and governments of different nations, a process driven by international trade and investment and aided by information technology. This process has effects on the environment, on culture, on political systems, on economic development and prosperity, and on human physical well-being in societies around the world. The most common example of globalization might be Ebay or Amazon. Nowadays flows of goods and services are not only cheap and fast, but reliable and secure.
The documentary, “On the Way to School”, was filmed and released for public viewing in 2015. This documentary was filmed in four main locations: Kenya, Morocco, Argentina, and India. The person who produced the documentary was Pascal Plisson. Two groups that helped to film “On the Way to School” were UNESCO and the French NGO “Aide et Action”. The general purpose of the documentary were to inform the public the long, hardship-ridden journey that children in less wealthier countries must endure to receive an education.
3. Globalization Throughout the last decades, globalization became a real phenomenon, but history tells us that it is actually not a new social, historical phenomena, but has, under different names and manifestations, been with us for a long time. It is actually not only the continuation of the liberalization of international trade, which began in the mid-19th century with the launch of cross-border trade over long distances and later with intensive large-scale mobility of labor and capital. During capitalism, globalization has amplified due to the lust for profit, which is driven by capitalists across the globe. Indeed, globalization has significantly strengthened ever since.
Introduction Nowadays people can communicate easily. They can share their ideas, their cultures even with people who are not in their countries. They can trade, transporting products around the world in just a few days. This is a big economy where everything related to each other. This is globalization.
Travelling helps us to know more about different lifestyles, cultures, cuisines and festivals. Visiting new sights and exploring new places increases our knowledge and widens our global perspective. We get to learn so many things about different cultures and customs. It makes us open minded and gives us a new viewpoint about life and it also changes some of our bad habits.
Teaching philosophy is described by Sadker and Sadker as, “Behind every school and every teacher is a set of related beliefs - a philosophy of education – that influences what and how students are taught. A philosophy of education represents answers to questions about the purpose of schooling, a teacher’s role and what should be taught and by what methods.” (Teacher, Schools and Society. 2005). With this definition in consideration, my teaching philosophy is “I believe that children learn best when they are given the chance to choose, discuss and explore what they want to learn, when they want to learn and how they want to learn.
The Causes of Globalisation Globalisation has many causes but the one we take seriously is the economy and leave out the rest, the global causes have contributed on the world’s economy such as technology, financial, multinational corporations, labour and foreign direct investment. Technology, over the past decade technology has improve the way the economy works and communicate (people could sent important emails to a client who are half way across the world); technology has made a huge improvement in our everyday life’s through the internet (Scholte, 2000:101 in Hirst & Thompson
With this program in mind I believe that it could be benificial for students to not only see the world but also learn about culture, gain unique opertunities and learn independence. Now of course as I said the students would be able to learn about culture, "what about culture could they learn about culture" is a question you may be asking yourself luckily I am
4.0 Implementation 4.1 Broader perspective Globalization is affected by various factors that drive towards its existence and formation in the society and a set of these macroeconomic factors. As per this analysis we can get an overview of the current economy of the country that helps the researcher to make relevant suggestions and recommendations that can benefit the economy as well as society to make them believe and trust that the globalization enhances their behaviour and life style.
