ETON-Elite, Terrific, Optimistic, Noble
Education is the process of learning knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits. There are loads of Educational methods including storytelling, discussion, teaching, training, and directed research. In brief, the purpose of the education is to teach you something that is practical to your whole life time. During the exchange program, I went to Eton college and experienced the unique Eton style of learning.
The classical Eton style school day is very busy and substantial. They will get up at 7:30 every day and start the class at 9:00. I think it is designed very reasonable because we can have rich time to dress up and eat our breakfast properly.
The most impressive system to me is their house system.

But there is some uniqueness that I think is very useful. They have more group discussion than us because they have different arrangement of tables in every different classroom. I would like to take some examples to explain this uniqueness. In computing class, they are using their own computing skills to build the security net for the whole school and shared their own imagination of the technology in the future and made it into an introduction video; In history class, the professor is holding a discussion with boys about the value of the Vietnam war to the United States instead of just teaching the important history incidents to the boys monotonously; In PE class, they learned very practical skills on rescuing a drowning person around the river; In Divinity, They learned the impact of the crime by watching some documentaries and discussions; In Chemistry class, they make experiments to learn the formation of a substances; In English class, they share their ideas of the feeling of characters in the play with the whole class. Their relationship between professors and boys impressed me the most because I think they have less gap between students and professors. Professors and students can have dinners outside together regularly. Maybe this is because their uniform is outfit which makes them looks much mature; Maybe this is because They call teacher `Sir`, They show respect with each other in
All students have the possibility to learn and with the proper experience, they will focus. There are many different ways used to build respect and a positive rapport with students. One that has always work is helping the students feel comfortable with the environment. When the environment is positive and comfortable to the students, the student tends to worry less and be natural. Building a positive rapport is not easy and it takes time and dedication.
In math gives students a chance to share different methods and angles for solving mathmatical equations. In english, students can analyse characters from different points of view. In every class, students will learn to work together efficiently to gather and organize ideas. Sadly, some students believe "it is a waste of time listening to peers compared to listening to teachers.
Many people argue whether school start times should stay the same or become later in the day. Most students already don't get enough sleep during the night and that can affect their learning experience in school (Wahlstrom). However some positive effects can still come from waking up early in the morning and getting to school around the same time. Although good can come from waking up early in the morning and sleeping in, students still need later school starting times to improve their overall health.
While others think that they should keep the seven classes in a day. Every school should start having block schedules. In schools with seven periods in a day students spend less time in class, while the students that have block schedule spend more time in that class. According to Evans, William, Jan Tokarczyk,
Since I worked with these students for an extended period of time, I was able to build a relationship with them that went beyond that of what some of the other tutors. It seemed like there was a bond of trust. The relationship was very similar to that of the children in my classroom. The 18 children in my classroom at work are more than just my students; they are a part of me.
Furthermore, the average school hours for high school students in the US is 7:30am-3pm. This time does not include any extracurricular activities that students take part in. In most cases, students attend the same classes all day, everyday. The school day in the United States should start later in the day because it benefits adolescents' health, increases students' attention in-class, and students
The traditional school schedule is an 8 Hours a day, consisting of 7 or 8 courses of about 50-55 minutes each. An advantage of traditional scheduling is that educators see all scholars every day which benefits students Ability to retain information that is given. Traditional scheduling also seems to benefit Students with disabilities. In addition to that Students have a greater memory of classroom methods, such as recalling which supplies to bring to class and the due dates of class assignments. Also with traditional scheduling, there is a diversity within classrooms.
Most classrooms are analogous in their basic structure. They typically consist of the essential accessories such as chairs, tables, and desks. However moving past the basic structures they become more unique. Their distinguished qualities, often correspond with varying influential factors. These factors include, instructor and subject matter, school setting, and student population.
Students can benefit from this. When they don’t understand they can break off into small groups, pairs or even one-on-one for help. Teaching
The day that we don’t have school could be the day that we could make up work and turn in assignments online on classroom. A little homework for each class would help out a lot. Teachers want to teach students and have them know all the knowledge that they teach and maybe use it in the later day lives and longer days with longer periods would let those teachers take their time teaching their subjects. This also allows students to take their time in getting their toughest work done. The class periods would probably be over an hour long but longer school days is a must if you for sure have four day weeks.
The average number of school hours in the United States is 6.64 some schools still have school hours ranging from 6.43 to 8.17 hours a day. You can see the difference of a 6 hour school to 8 hour school quickly because students will be asleep. Do to this they start drinking caffeine which can lead to other problems in their school if they have to keep drinking it to stay awake for class which worsens sleep deprivation for them.
There are 24 hours in a day, 8 of those hours belong to school. From the moment when a student wakes up, they begin to prepare for school then go to school, most schools start around 8:00-9:00 am, so most students get up 1-2 hours earlier to get ready. Students need at least 8-9 hours of sleep to be able to function. With students having after school activities that take up around 2 hours, students are exhausted and when they get home all the want to do is relax, but some of them have responsibilities that they have to do, which gives them less time to relax from a long day of school. On top of having homework students end up staying up late getting all their work done, which cause them to be less focus the next day not allowing the
I got this information from a website called “Education.seattlepi.com” which says “Leathing the school day will give teachers more time to spend with students, to focus on trouble areas and difficult material.” Other people think we should not have school day because it takes away their family time. I saw this information at “Debate.org”. Debate.org consists of polls, they survey students if they would whether or not, have an 8 hour school day, only 33% say and 67% say no.
The class consists of main teacher, one co-teacher, and 20 students without any special needs or disabilities (14 girls 6 boys). The difference between the general classroom and the special education classroom that was the students very quiet and didn 't make a lot of noise like in the special education classroom. The classroom was very small for 22 students. I was surprised when I entered the general classroom. all the girls in the front and all the boys were back.
Within my observation of the classroom; I was able to see how the teacher interacted with the students, how gender role played a role within the students, and lastly see the how the students interacted. The first thing I observed and saw was how the teacher interacted with the students as she taught. I noticed that often she did not encourage the students to do better; she would just tell them to re-look at their papers and fix their papers if
