What is engineering?
The application of mathematical and scientific principles for practical uses such as the designing, manufacturing , and usage of products and processes is known as Engineering , while accounting for constraints invoked by economics, the sociological factors and environment like economical development, improving standards of living and well-being of a society, and cultural development and environmental concern are deeply dependant on engineering activities. Engineering is continually emerging as a much valued profession and engineering education changes according to time.

To say in other ways, engineering sustainability seems very much complex and involved. To say according to the definition of the Rosen, engineering sustainability involves the provision of engineering services in a sustainable way, which in turn requires that engineering services be provided for all people now and also in the future, are very much enough to provide basic necessities, affordable, not detrimental Sustainability to the environment, and also acceptable to communities and people. Even if this definition has some different circular aspects, those aspects emphasize few of the very important points of the concept engineering sustainability. We are about to consider the following principles that are considered in production. Production using non toxic, non hazardous, sustainably produced or recycled materials as much as feasible to have a lower impact even much less than traditional materials is a government policy now. Building long lasting and better functioning products to reduce the need of replacements often and reduce need of producing replacements. Designing products in order to reuse and recycle and make them easy to disassemble, so that the parts can be reused to make new products. And now considering product life cycle analysis tools to produce more sustainable products is an important thing. I agree with the assertion that in the context of Sustainable Development ‘the reality of life today is that the economy dominates environment and society. The Concept of Sustainable Development Sustainable development refers to “meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs”, and was produced by the Brundtland report (WCED, 1987). The concept also takes into account the needs of the poor in developing countries by outlining achievable objectives of importance (WCED, 1987).
We must make the most to conserve, recycle and reuse whenever possible because the natural resources on our planet earth are limited. One of the most efficient ways to support recycling is to purchase products made from recycled materials. Maybe by now, you are not aware of how important this act can make a change to the world. However, the effort involves not only recycling existing products, but purchasing products that have already been recycled. Today, you will notice a lot products that are made from recyclable materials thanks to a strong push in green movement recent years.
Particularly, the reports focus was placed on consumer electronics and related component manufacture. The main value adding processes for these product streams were determined to be firstly, innovation through research and development through investment in SAIT and R&D centres worldwide. The conclusion conveyed at the end of this paper, will be that sustainable development is a concept with weaknesses however, the strengths outweigh them. To begin with, the concept of sustainable development famously culminated in 1987 with the United Nations 'Commission on Environment and Development ' also known as the 'Brundtland Report ' (Everard & Longhurt, 2017; pp. 1244). The article introduced, the most widely known definition of Sustainable development as "Development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs" (World Commission on Environment and Development, 1987).
Sustainability: If you take a look around at what’s really happening in our world, there’s an inescapable pattern of ‘what’s going on is simply unsustainable’ and in other words, it can’t go on for much longer. Sustainability is to “meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs”. As cities began to grow with the population increase, the need for a sustainable development became more apparent as resources began to diminish in quantity and value. One of the greatest issues that we face towards the environment has been an increasingly difficult problem over the last few years. Earths climate is changing at rapid paces and solutions are needed as quickly as possible to replenish natural ecosystems and cultures that depend on the environment. Climate change not only affects the animals in our ecosystem, but us humans as well. With the human population increasing every year, climate change is only getting worse. Many argue that the effects of climate change towards the environment are due to other extraneous factors, however, I myself am a strong believer that the problems such as rising sea levels, warmer temperatures and natural disasters are all due to both natural causes and human activity.
