The Importance Of English As An International Language

Education is very important for everyone, it is because education can add insight to everyone, add skills, can make a change for everyone and also it’s expected to create students who have a good competency in thinking and communicating (Suraningsih, 2015).

In this globalization era, English as an international language should be mastered by every individual (Astika, 2015). It is because English can be used to communicate with people in the world. Therefore, English should be taught to every student. It is because learning English is very useful for every individual in the future. Furthermore, she states that if people can speak English, they are easier to find a job, because in this globalization era, most of the company looking for peoples who are able to speak English.

In Curriculum 2013, English Lesson is taught integrated. In learning English, each individual should master the four skills, namely, listening, reading, writing, and speaking. One skill that should be mastered by every individual is speaking. Speaking is important to be mastered by all students because of two main reasons. The first reason is speaking is mostly used in communication. The second reason is speaking is the actual ability of communication.
