For hundreds of years, entertainment has been in our lives in more ways that we can imagine. Developing into new forms of diversions, entertainment has become a way of passing down tradition as a form of amusement. In this way, people continue their rituals and keep their attention on what they considered to be an enjoyable action. First, it is necessary to recall that there are many types of entertainment, such as: movies, books, oral stories, festivals and such. Entertainment is the basis of our cultural history since it permits tradition to be passed on, it enables history to be spread and it can unite people. But actually, social media can bring people close together, even if they are apart. Many of long distance relationships work because they have the condition to connect in the internet. Also, we live in a world that is constantly having international exchange, which means that people from Brazil, for example, have the need to talk with businessmen's in China. They, and many other countries, keep their relationship through the internet, consequently, business activities are kept active around the world. Entertainment can have many functions, either from telling a story for tradition or just for amusement, to connecting people from all over the world.
