People may know about climate change and the drastic changes it is having on the environment, but what they may not be aware of is that another degree increase in the world’s average temperature will cause even bigger problems for people all over. Imagine if all of Florida disappeared under the water. Millions of people would need to migrate up to other states, likely causing population issues in some places, and the culprit of the disappearance: Humans. More specifically, climate change caused by humans. Climate change is caused by greenhouse gas emissions, and that makes the atmosphere trap heat from the sun in our atmosphere. As an international student, I have had the privilege of living in both Kansas and Louisiana. Both experiences completely different from other because Kansas has tornados watches while Louisiana has hurricane watches. The earth is heating up 500 billion tons of ice will collapse. Then one and a half feet of sea level will rise and then the water would move 150 feet inland in Florida.
