For too long have we lived in our comfort zone without realizing the reality of our world is. For too long have we took the earth for granted when the earth now is dying due to our reckless behaviour towards the environment, yet we dare to look on the other side. The global concentration has never been as focused on taking the responsibility for the environment. Basically, the term ‘environmental friendly’ can be defined as reducing infliction and minimizing the harm upon ecosystems or the environment. All parts of our society, be it the government, business or individuals are encouraged to operate in more environmentally friendly ways, to aid sustainability for the world. This, we have to be clear on the significant role we play in delivering a sustainable world. It is such an eyesore to witness the sick environment that is happening around us, yet the society seems to be ignorant about it up until now. However, there are several methods that can be made in order to create an …show more content…
To do this, authorities need to enforce regulations, such as introducing a law that relates to environmental preservation to the constitution as well as to the public. With this, the public, or rather anyone has the chance to take the initiative in voicing out their opinion or suggestion regarding the regulations through the right channel and platform and working on together as a whole team. Next, the following step is to impose fine for those who violate the law in order to prevent people from committing and repeating the wrongful act. Here, according to Malmberg (n.d.), The leadership of the government sector in moving towards the sustainability of the world seems to be the best role to the public servants who can guide and gives motivation to others in showing their respect for the environment in daily
the government’s job is to protect people’s lives and make sure that the citizens life is not in dangerous. When the government make a certain law they saw that it is more beneficial for the citizens, “the foundation of social order are profoundly shaken when ordinary law-abiding citizens take to skirting the law ”(Trippett). the law should be respected by the citizens, it is important because people deserve to live in a safe

At what point are we going to take responsibility and protect the Earth instead of allowing it to be destroyed? The Earth can only handle a so much growth before it reaches its max sustainability. In each text, sustainability refers to how much growth the Earth can maintain without being destroyed. Wendell Berry, Jared Diamond, and Bill McKibben all use rhetoric to appeal to their audience using ethos, pathos, and logos. Ethos is an appeal to the audience’s ethics.
Our environment had been endangered of becoming unsafe, threatening, and even deadly. “The water we drink, the food we eat, the very air that we breathe, are threatened with pollution. Our parks are overcrowded, our seashores overburdened. Green fields and dense forests are disappearing.” Johnson stresses that the health of people and environment is at risk because Americans have allowed for the destruction of nature to get out of hand, and causing both the Earth and human health at risk of becoming an ugly America, due to –as Johnson references- the “Ugly American” (“Great Society”).
Once the environment is perceived as an equal part of an individual’s community, the human ethical spirit will respect the environment, cherish its benefits and beauty, and be obligated to preserve it. If future generations are taught to create harmony between the three pillars of society: economic, social, and environmental, further damage to the environment can be
The Ok Tedi Copper Mine Define the main forms of pollution and resource depletion and identify the major problems associated with each form. The main type of pollution at the Ok Tedi Copper Mine is the discharging of mining waste into the Ok Tedi River in Papua New Guinea. The pollution problem began in 1984 following the collapse of a tailing dam used by the company that was responsible for mining copper and gold at the site. By 2000, more than 90 million tons of mine waste had been released into the river and destroyed tens of villages, farms, rainforests, and fisheries downstream.
The protection of environment is crucial to the wellbeing of this planet. The job of government is to protect and preserve the land on which its people live. However, there is a bill being considered that completely goes against this, one that calls for the eradication of the Environmental Protection Agency, a government program created to protect human and environmental wellbeing through their regulation of laws. I urge you to oppose bill H.R. 861 - the termination of the Environmental Protection Agency - because of the ways that the EPA protects air, water, and land.
Pollution may be a threat, but it can be solved in our
The earth, our earth, once used to be a healthy environment, with no pollution or destruction. Not until humans began creating advanced technology and other inventions that started to affect the way we live. As humans we thought these inventions would just make life easier for us and we don’t mean to harm the planet. We are all trying to help the planet but at the same time, destroying it.
Pollution can 't be stopped unless we all take action. How do we do that? There are already many groups working extraordinarily hard to make progress but it still isn 't enough. The only way we can make change is if we spread the word and help. Some ways we can help is stop littering, volunteer in clean up groups, and bring reusable grocery bags when shopping to reduce trash.
We have grown to see our parents have children, build houses, buy cars cultivate farmlands, explore timber and many other aspects. I think that this is the time to ask ourselves the question how good or bad are our actions to the environment? We should not inherit the habits of our forefathers because we are now responsible for the consequences of our action base on consequential ethics which states that it is common for us to determine our moral responsibility by weighing the consequences of our actions. According to consequentialism, correct moral conduct is determined solely by a cost-benefit analysis of an action's consequences. And in this case, if we apply sustainable development and consequential ethics, I am sure that we will protect our environment looking at it as a social
Introduction: Our earth is the most precious gift of the universe. It is the sustenance of ‘nature’ that is the key to the development of the future of mankind. It is the duty and responsibility of each one of us to protect nature. It is here that the understanding of the ‘environment’ comes into the picture. The degradation of our environment is linked with the development process and the ignorance of people about retaining the ecological balance.
Following the industrial revolution, it took industrialized countries more than 200 years to establish a living standard under which an environmental movement could emerge. Furthermore, the gap worldwide between the rich and the poor is widening (OECD, 2015). As a reaction, the growing population from developing countries understandably demands equitable living conditions compared to citizens in Europe or the United States. However, establishing higher standards of living is opposed to concentrating efforts on reducing emissions. As a result there will be decades of ever-increasing GHGs globally, currently primarily caused by developed countries and by developing countries in the
Global Environment Problems Global environment can be defined as the environment about our nature and the surroundings that influence worldwide scale an environment could be a desert or polar land. Environment problems: Our environment constantly changing. There is no denying that, However, as our environment changes, so does the need to become increasingly aware of the problems that surround it. With a massive influx of natural disasters, warming and cooling periods, different types of weather patterns and much more, people need to be aware of what types of environmental problems our planet is facing.
