Just because a book has racial slurs, doesn’t mean it should be banned. Students hear racial commentary each and every day at school, so what good will banning a book do? It isn’t going to shelter students from racial jokes, because they will just hear them at school. Movies poke fun at different races, but they aren’t banned. Banning the book simply
Giving students little to no choice about their clothing makes for a mass of children with barely any ability to express themselves. Giving a school full of children one or two kinds of things to wear does not create unique individuals -- it creates labeled groups with little distinction between them. Many people use their clothes as an outlet for self-expression, so when that avenue is taken away from them, it obstructs individuality and unique
Others connected students’ use of languages other than English with poverty or crime. A significant number of teachers explicated instructed students to not use their home language in the classroom. Ignorance/benign neglect of home language Many teachers implied that their ELLs did not use their home language in the classroom or at school in general. Some also stated that students did not use their home language at school due to lack of peers. In both cases teachers did not explicitly prohibit students from speaking their home language, nor did they invite their students to use their home language in the classroom or take any responsibility for including their students’ home language into their teaching in order to facilitate the acquisition of English language skills or the understanding of academic content.
So this was to teach kids and parents how to have self control. Also this is not about that kids should not have so much sugar. Try not to eat the marshmallow because if you do you will not get really good grades in school. In the video that we watched the kids were left in a room with nobody except the marshmallow and only ⅓ did not eat the marshmallow and the other ⅔ just straight
Paying student for good grades is an issue because it doesn't do any motives in learning, only trying. Learning is the student job, not the parent to bride their children to do well. Paying student for good grades can give pressure to inflate their grades, external motivators that may be affective and well intended, and kids should be satisfied with their own accomplishment to success. Many parents bribe their children to do well in school by paying them. Bridging children should be illegal and banned in every country.
They may believe: a kid should not be aloud to have a gun, a kid should not. Be aloud to walk around alone, and a kid should not be aloud to dress in overalls when they are a girl. Others may think the children disrespected Arthur –Boo– Radley. However they knew nothing about him; all they knew with the stories they were told. It wasn 't until the end of the book where they found out who he really was and form their own opinions about him.
So the school is a separate peace from war because the war has not made its way to Devon yet, and the kids at Devon are also a separate peace because of the way they have no effect on the war and the war has no effect on them and the way they live there life. Finny and Gene make it seem to be more separate because of the way that Finny talks about the war being
At Spartanburg high, there is a zero tolerance policy no cursing or fighting as well as getting in school suspension for talking back or defiance of a teacher. Lastly I learned to be responsible for asking for help. Asking for help when I needed it was hard for me whether it was work or a lesson I did not understand. I am a shy person always has been always will be, I used to avoid asking teachers anything when I needed help. I did not want to seem like I was not smart or I wanted help but I was too afraid to ask.
They aren’t looking at the reasons gum may help students in classrooms study, learn, and excel in their usual environment. This can be a turning point for people who don’t know how gum can make many succeed. Gum is a way for people to focus on something without taking away their entire thought. Gum can be helpful if used in the right way and many people don’t even allow it. Why?
Students in school aren’t allowed to wear hats, hoodies, or beanies on their heads because administration believes that kids might be concealing their identity. Students should be allowed to wear hats in school because they don 't cause any harm or any problems, and some kids may need a hat for many reasons. Hats don 't cause anyone problems which is a good thing. All it is just a piece of clothing that goes on the top of one 's head. I wear a hat everyday because I like the way it looks, and almost every day one teacher yells at me to take it off.
The teacher never really calls on them. Not because they don’t know the answer or because they are so smart that the teacher wants to give someone else a shot. The hard truth to this is maybe the teachers don’t really see us either. “Extras” aren’t expected to amount to much; they won’t be in top 10% of their class; they won’t move on to be lawyers, doctors or even the president. They will move on from school where they were an extra into the real world to be just another extra.
Grading doesn 't define you, don’t let a B- hurt you or affect you because everybody get bad grades every once in awhile. You should care because teachers get to grade them and give them the grade they deserve but they never to speak their opinion when it comes to them. Grading isn’t really a part of school, you go to school to learn not to sit there and be judge on how you are doing your work. You should care because it gives students the freedom to do their work and not be judge or graded with the work that they do. You will never know until you have been graded and you get grounded for a bad grade.
