Florence is a small city but with immense art and culture. It is like an open air museum which has grown more beautiful over the centuries. The ancient walls of Florence safeguards grandiose master works of art and architecture so close that you can almost touch them. The city sits at the feet of the Apennine Mountains in a valley that opens onto Arno plains.
Florence buildings and monuments tell stories of art, war and life. Florence cities which are today crowded with tourists are the same one’s through which Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Dante and many other the most illustrated minds of all times threaded their way.

3) Piazzale Michelangelo The piazzale Michelangelo is a large square, and is probably the best place to view the historic part of Florence. The square is named after the city’s most famous artist, so it’s no wonder if you find a bronze replica of the statue of David.

4) Bargello Museum The museum is located in a palace dated back to the 13th century, this museum is the one of the oldest buildings in the city. For many years the museum served as the headquarters of the local police, as well as a prison, today it is the home of the National Museum where you can find sculptures by the world famous artists like Donatello and Michelangelo. Admission to Bargello Museum is cheaper as compared to Uffizi. The museum is also open daily until 1350 pm.
