Free Time In College

Going to college is a big adjustment for most people. Kids can say that they are ready for the work; most of them are lying to you. The first semester is the most difficult since you are adjusting to college life and you do not really know what to expect. You have a lot of free time and that usually goes to some people’s heads and there work suffers. I am one of those people who does not use free time well so I will really have to adjust and use my free time more constructively. If my past education experiences were any indication, I should not do well in college because I have no really study skills and a lack of time management. The one challenge with classes I really had in high school was with Latin. I never really applied myself with either the vocab or the grammar so I always struggled in the course I never really applied myself with either the vocab or their grammar so I always struggled in the course. However I somehow was able to maintain a C average during the three years I took the course. Another challenge I faced was getting too involved in extracurricular activities. I always wanted to go out to the games or the other activities and did not want to do my homework. So for most of freshman year part of sophomore year my grades suffered because of that. However I was able to learn to a point how to manage my time better and was able to go to activities while so getting my work done. There is a fine line between being involved and too involved. If your work suffers because of being involved you need to take back and refocus. I wanted to go to college in hopes of making a little extra money in the real world. The statement that a college degree will make you more money is still up for debate but I believe that I will make more money because I have one. However I feel like I would have a wider array of jib choices if I get a
