What does friendship mean? Friendship for Merriam Webster, is defined as the state of being friends. Although friendship has different levels or intensities, at the end a good friendship depends on having a good and mutual bond. How can we distinguish a good friendship? A good friendship should contain basic elements like: trust, confidentiality, love, honesty, loyalty, empathy, and support. These traits are essential to have and maintain a good friendship. Spending time together isn’t their only favorite pastime, they also love Jellyfishing and watching episodes of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy. During many episodes, SpongeBob and Patrick have dressed up and pretended to be them. There was a specific episode where Mermaid Man and Barnacle boy retired and SpongeBob and Patrick had to convince them to keep saving the world. Here SpongeBob said that Barnacle Boy and Mermaid Man’s friendship made SpongeBob and Patrick friends. There was also a Valentine’s Day episode where SpongeBob convinced Sandy to help him get a gift for Patrick. He planned to give him a giant chocolate balloon. The delivery of the balloon gets delayed and Patrick then thinks that SpongeBob didn’t get him a present. Patrick then, in a rampage, starts destroying everything. Then the balloon is delivered to Patrick and he instantly regrets getting mad at SpongeBob and tells him that he didn’t need to buy him a present to demonstrate their love. Another episode showed how Patrick got an award that was meant for SpongeBob and he instantly freaks out. When SpongeBob tells Patrick that the award was his, Patrick starts copying SpongeBob to see if then he can win an award of his own. All of the boys life have fallen apart, and lives have been taken. The school boys, are not school boys anymore. The schoolboys have lost their innocence on the island. Many lives have been taken, the mama pig, Piggy, Simon, and almost Ralph.

Piggy is a boy who is picked on as soon as he gets on the island. His weight makes him an easy target, and his lack of contribution to the group frustrates many of the boys. For the most part, he was protected by Ralph, the leader of the island. However, he becomes a casualty when Jack takes control of the island. After taking over, Jack and Ralph fight while Piggy stands off to the side, blind as a bat due to Jack stealing his glasses.
Through all of the problems the boys have faced they still maintain a friendship. Friendship is a combination of things but it is always built on a foundation of trust, and wanting the best for one

On the island, the boys are continually arguing, especially when a rift occurs between the group of boys.
