Against the conditions of current climate and environmental concerns that are the importance of unsustainable economic activities, green technology emerges as a winning proposition. Green technology has strong potentials to stimulate economic growth while mitigating environmental degradation (Ibrahim, 2013). Innovation in the way of green technology has brought spectacular ideas to life keeping in mind a future devoid of waste and destruction (Ministry of Human Resources, 2011). Green technology is the development and application of product, equipment and systems used to conserve the natural environment and resources, which minimize and reduce the negative impact of human activities. The researchers stated that support for the green initiatives is depended on individual awareness of the subject. Awareness of green initiatives ought to be favorably associated with support. Awareness and education are often given credit for increased levels of support, although there is only incomplete evidence produced that awareness alone is responsible for increase support. Zainul Abidin (2010) also stated that the factors that will jumpstart sustainable movement are awareness and knowledge. With that, comes interest and demand, and follows with implementation. Du Plessis (2007) cited in Zainul Abidin (2010), stated that behavior changes will only come about through personal commitment to it. To encourage a person or organization to commit to something, their personal values must be satisfied.
