Why Do Citizens Need Gun Control Laws

Recently, in the USA, residents have many rights to help them protect the happiness and safety of their live, one of them is that the government allows the Americans to hold the guns to protect themselves, and make gun laws, which regulate the number of guns, the gun industry, gun trade and trafficking and many gun regulations. However, as more and more citizens are having guns with them, number of firearms-related loss of life is also increasing at the same time. In this essay will discuss whether change gun laws can help reduce the firearms-related death or not from four aspects which are: citizens need guns to protect them, the government should put their main effort on improve the awareness of their citizens about the respect of others

At the most of time, it is impossible for a resident who have no weapon to protect themselves from those criminals who have guns in their hand, and it is impossible for the police to protect them timely when there is an emergency happened. Additionally, as criminals know that the residents might carry a gun to protect them, they will not hurt others because they might consider the risk and result of their action because they have the same weapon in their hands, and both of them could get hurt, and the criminal rate might decrease at the same time. So from those points, citizens should have the right to hold guns, it means that the change of gun laws is not necessary.

By the end of last year, we had almost 1,000 fatal shootings that we had captured.” Those two boys were innocent, but for the safety of the society and the country, the police shot them and caused the loss of two young life, because the situation is emergency, so that the police do not have the time to find out the truth, but just shoot them, however, if the government change the gun law, no one can carry the gun in public area, then this incident might not happened. From another aspect, sometimes citizens could get hurt because the guns sometimes may discharge accidentally, in the 2016, a school in America has a new course about the guns, during the class, a student’s gun discharge unexpected, and caused the death of himself, and a 3-year-old boy was playing with an 1-year-old boy by holding a gun, however, the gun fired and killed the younger one.
