Happiness can be obtained in many different ways from many different types of people. People have their own idea of happiness and how to achieve it. Being one of the most important emotions happiness can be hard to aquire sometimes and many may struggle trying. Some individuals find happiness going deep sea diving, while others may find it climbing to the top of the tallest mountain or spending quality time with family and friends. Not all people in society seek happiness in the same place as different things cause different people to become happy. Building courage and strategic thinking skills, fear is not always just being scared of something as it helps build many skills needed for survival. Without courage people would ever complete any task because they would be too scared. That mindset can change the outcome of anyone’s life. Strategic thinking makes a person look closely at situations and evaluate their options more meaningfully as this quote by Susan David states. “With fear it is more likely people will use concrete and tangible information to be more equipped to the spot they are stuck in to be less prone to judgement errors” (David 126). This increases the amount a good choices made in life, which can lead to happiness and fulfillment in life. A great example of how making bad choices can change someone’s life is an exceptional person living in bars for the rest of their lifetime if not a multitude of years all because of one bad decision they made. Although too much of of a good thing could be bad as Scots said, “They said too much happiness might not be a good thing” (qtd. In Begley 454). All of the human emotions are for a purpose and all are needed in order to live a healthy life. Most people seem to forget how important other emotions are to have other than happiness. Sadness, fear, and anger are just as important to have to live a healthy life than happiness. They all serve a purpose and without them, life would become strange, forgotten, and unknown. Life would not have a purpose because everyone strives for happiness and if we were all happy, then there would be nothing to strive towards. A great example of this would be money.
