Optimum health is the state of an individual in which all the aspects of health (Psychological and Physiological) function properly without any disturbance in the absence of disease. Only one online questionnaire on optimal health is available by managing pressure, but consulting from the author by e-mail this questionnaire is not standardized. On the basis of research there is not an optimum health scale developed for Indian school students, therefore there is great need to develop an optimum health scale for school students which is appropriate for Indian school students. Children are the future of the society as well as the country. If they grow healthy, they will create healthy society or nation. For this required need this scale has been developed. Health The topic of health and its impacts on poor health have been an issue in many reservations. A key factor in living a happy, stress free life is the state of health that one is experiencing. Being healthy goes beyond staying “fit”. It helps lower the risk of certain conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.
Introduction Health is an important element throughout our life. A person’s health can be affected by many social factors such as gender roles and economic positions. As there are differences in health status between different populations groups, health inequality is then formed, for example, differences in morbidity and mortality rates between people from different social classes. In my essay, I will first define the meaning of ‘health’ from different perspectives. Then, I will talk about how social factors such as gender roles and economic positions determine a person’s health.
Health has to do with a person’s overall condition, regarding any acute or chronic illnesses or injuries. Health has to do with having a positive emotional outlook on life. Health also includes a person’s nutrition, physical activity, and getting the proper sleep. When someone is in good health, this person should be able to bounce back from any minor illnesses/injuries, and they should be fully functional in society. This includes the ability to enjoy life, socializing with others, and the ability to feel safe.
The human body is a machine with a very complicated working mechanism. For a human being to be productive, his body should be in good shape and health. Therefore, health is a major determinant factor in our resourcefulness. All human beings are entitled to good healthcare. In a general perspective, healthcare is all about maintaining one’s health and improving the health of deteriorating bodies.
In short, the biological model of health is mainly defined from the absence of disease, from the model that is well-matched with positive meanings in relation to balance of normal functioning. The social model health is actually a positive state of well-being and wholeness linked with however this is not mainly explained from the non-existence of disease, physical, mental impairment and illness (Gross, 2010). Overall the concepts of ill health and health are not balanced. Non-existences of disease might be part of health, however health is considered more than the “absence of disease”.
As adolescences enter adulthood, they enter a long transitional period, often known as “emerging adult”. This transitional period takes place over a range of 18 to 25 years old (Santrock, 2013). At this stage, emerging adults are still in exploration in the various aspect of life such as the career path they are interested in, defining their identities and a style of living they would want to adopt. Thus, adolescences who are in transition will be caught with many intense changes and will experience major life events that are all of great importance.
This shows that both authors have extensive experience in human health and the aspects that affect it. The article was also peer-reviewed by Mauzerall of Princeton University, giving it further

It ignored a ‘mind-body connection’. Health however, is not simply limited to biology. “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not simply the absence of disease or infirmity” as defined by the World Health Organisation. The biopsychosocial model is an absolute necessity for clinical practice - it allows physicians to treat people who have diseases and not just the diseases people have. This will give us the ability to understand people beyond their biological functioning and to view human health in its fullest context.
Mental health is a level of psychological well-being, or an absence of mental illness. It is the "psychological state of someone who is functioning at a satisfactory level of emotional and behavioural adjustment”. From the perspective of positive psychology or holism, mental health may include an individual 's ability to enjoy life, and create a balance between life activities and efforts to achieve psychological resilience. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), mental health includes "subjective well-being, perceived self-efficacy, autonomy, competence, inter-generational dependence, and self-actualization of one 's intellectual and emotional potential, among others”
Contribution to health of a population also derives from social determinants of health like living conditions, nutrition, safe drinking water, sanitation, education, early child development and social security measures. According to major health indicators like immunization of infants, nutrition level in children and women, supplementation of food and its equity among all, India holds the low position compared to even Sub-Saharan African countries and Conflict ravaged countries like Afghanistan and Haiti and even from the neighboring South Asian countries like Bangladesh. Any idea?? Health – according to World Health Organization (WHO), health is the state of being complete physical, mental and social well being, and not merely freedom to disease or absences of any infirmity. So meaning, even when you are physically fit but you are not mentally and socially well, you cant still call yourself a healthy person.
When exploring what is health, it looks at the idea of an individual being free from illness or injuries (World Health Organization 1948). WHO further explains that it is the state of complete: physical, mental, and social well-being and not the absence of disease or infirmity (health context, 2018) In 1986 during Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion, WHO said health is a resource for everyday life, not the objective of living, also is a positive concept emphasizing social, personal resources, and physical capacities. There are different aspects that contribute and impact a person’s health such as their: family and friends, education or job, body, spirit and mind, and all these need to balance to ensure good health (health context, 2018).
