Every construction worker have experienced how hard it is to work when it comes to having poor communication. Due to this problem the fact that poor communication can lead to is not getting work done and could cause serious injuries to other workers. Communication needs to improve because it will not only get the job done it will help the workers improve as they work. Even though it may take some time but the better the communication is towards a construction worker, the better it could be very helpful to getting the job done. In addition, many argue that there's only one way to communicate while doing construction work and that's verbally. One strong argument for improving understanding communication is the ways the human co-operates. According to Terry, "Communication strategies should be based on a thorough understanding of the ways that humans co-operate in joint undertakings, the key principles of social dynamics and learning theory plus the ways in which people deliver, accept and understand words and pictures" (Aulich). In addition, according to Carl Azar, "Hands-free operation encourages workers to communicate without interrupting their work" (Azar). Workers learn different ways of communication for better understanding of what to do on the job site. In addition, many argue that all the workers already know how to be safe and take responsibilities on their own. One strong argument for improving communication that leads to being safe is teamwork. According to the article Teamwork Promotes Safety in Construction, "The Safety Team helps implement the Safety Program and acts in a leadership role to encourage employee participation. The Team’s practical work experience and its close relationship with the employees is vital in obtaining the participation and cooperation of all personnel" (Woglast Restoration). In addition, according to the Whirlwind Team, "For Project management planning does not just mean scheduling. It means attending to logistics, addressing potential changes ahead of time, and understanding the constraints of the project. You need recovery plans and workarounds developed before a problem occurs to mitigate the impact" (Whirlwind Team). Teamwork can help other workers work together to get what needs to be done and it prevents from other workers from getting hurt. Working together can also help other workers if they don't know what to do or what needs to be done. Not every worker can do things on their own sometimes they are in need of assistance.
