Despite the company’s management and organizing, a strong innovation culture is relatively important in the business, which becomes a vital element in business’ success in recent decades due to the emergence of global market. In a globalization market, cultural differences between countries are reduced, thus, consumer taste and preference convergence onto the global norm. According to the business dictionary, organizational cultural can be defined by the values and behaviors that contribute to the unique social and psychological environment of an organization. Organizational culture includes an organization 's expectations, experiences and values that hold it together.
A strong organizational culture has more obviously impact on employee than a weak organizational culture. With a strong organizational culture, key values are deeply held and strong employee commitment to the organization can be created (Lim, 2013). Most of these key values were come from the founders and behavior of top management, as well as the past practice of the company. Factors such as size and age of the organization, strength of the original culture and clarity of cultural values and beliefs would affect the strength of the culture.

Innovation is the process of translating an idea or invention into a good or service that creates value or for which customers will pay (Business Dictionary). Innovative products can attract customers, which brings higher profit and better reputation of the company. Canon was founded in 1963, which is a company mainly manufacture cameras. “Innovation has been a key ingredient in Canon 's success”. From the description on Canon’s website, innovation technology is one of the main focuses of Canon obviously and Canon is well-known for its innovation culture. For the recent two decades, Canon has maintained a high profit and has used significant proportion of the profit to make investment in research and development department. Technology such as laser beam print engine and eye-control focus systems for cameras are developed in the department which provides quality goods to customers and boost the sales of Canon.
Furthermore, in order to enhance skill specialization, Canon has set up educational system for the training of different groups of employees, including the skills needed in handling daily production process, language skills in communication and even human-relationship skills.
