Don’t you want to be relaxing by the beach, drink in hand, not a care in the world? Well lucky for you, I know just the place! Kauai, Hawaii is the perfect place for you. This tropical paradise has the power to make your worries fade away, and entice you in the best ways possible. Now I must admit, taking a vacation to Kauai might be a little costly but it is definitely worth it.
When the suns gone you will hear the firewood crackling loudly and the wind calling for you in the morning once the sun comes up. You can feel the soft sand with your bare feet as your going down the long warm sand dune. You can feel the sun baking your skin slowly, when your laying flatly on a blanket on the beach, you can feel the wind blowing into your hair as you stand in the lookout. You can feel the force of the hard rhythmic waves as they push you back to shore and then you fell the sharp shells and rough rocks as you step out of the water. If you walk on the beach you will smell the scent of fish and seaweed and when you walk into the woods you will smell the pungent scent that will remind you of dog waste, you will also smell a strong smell of grass after being mowed and if you walk back to camp you will smell the sweet scent of mosquito spray, the smell of rice and chicken and herbs.
It was exceptionally blue that day with a slight green undertone. The surface looked as though it was covered with millions of diamonds crashing with the waves and kissing the sand. I remember the sand in between my feet, like standing on a coarse cloud that I could just seep into. The water teasing my toes and running back into hiding. Repeating the cycle getting closer and closer each time until I felt the rush of the current under me and the sand being pulled out from between my toes back into the ocean. 11 years later and the fond memories of the magical and wonderful ocean would be pulled out from under me like the current itself.
The first time I went to Hunting Island in South Carolina I knew that this was just the kind of vactaion I would always adore. The sun was warm on my face, and bright enough to make me squint. I would have been fine without sunglasses, but the tan-white sand reflected the brilliance into my eyes, so I put them on. It glared on the water, creating sparkling pathways of diamonds. The sky and the ocean were so blue it was hard to tell where the sea ended and the heavens began.
As we reached towards the beach we were able to see the bottom of the ocean. After landing in the island of Oahu, the first impression we had was that the island looked like paradise. Perhaps even the paradise where Adam and Eve lived, after the world was created. The green environment was very exquisite. Coconut trees and palm trees adorned the city of Honolulu.
Crash! As we walked down to the beach, I could hear the ocean waves crashing against one another. We spent all morning swimming in the ocean and relaxing in the sand. The smell of salt and seaweed filled my nose as as I layed in the sand enjoying the warm air and sunshine. While we were at the beach, we saw dolphins swimming along the coast, not far from shore.
The sand was white, and the water was very clear and blue. At this beach, the waves were A LOT bigger, although the current wasn’t that bad. My family and I played frisbee, swam, and brought a cooler full of snacks to munch on during the the day. I did not want to leave! Visiting the beaches were fun, but I think the weekend activities were pretty fun
One of the most beautiful places on earth to me is Hawaii. As the plane neared the island, My eyes felt like it didn’t know how to blink at that moment as I was awestruck by what my eyes witnessed. All i could see was the unending grains of golden sand, as if the whole island was made out of gold itself. Shimmering blue waters that sparkled in the presence of the sunlight encircled the island. Greenery spread out all around the island, with patches of different coloured flowers that grew In a distant.
My favorite beach to go to though, was Port Isabel. The sand was a beautiful, glistening, white powder with shells buried right below the surface. The waters were clear as glass and felt like a dipg into chilling bath. While we were at that beach, we also met a dog. It was a light brown and white husky, with one dark green eye and one light baby blue eye.
I live near the coast, the coast is a beautiful place where I spend my days basking in the sun, swim in the crystal clear water and am lulled to sleep with the soothing sounds of the waves and warm sea breezes. The past days had been splendid with the sun high in the sky and the waves rolling in as usual. Knocking us from out cloud of happiness, the days started to become gray, the clouds became thick and full of rain with winds that made the waves roar. It looked like there was a bad storm coming so I decided to prepare myself by blocking some windows and doors and making sure that nothing would be swept away by the wind. Once I was assured that everything would stay in its place I made my way inside and packed some essentials in a bag.
Puerto Rico has made me fall in love with the beauty of the environment. The tan sand and crystal clear water at the beach is the most beautiful landscape it could offer. Remembering all of the great memories of my family and I going to the beautiful beaches always makes me miss the sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sound of kids playing and making sand castles, and the sound of the salsa music blasting through speakers always makes me visualize the great moments back home. Besides the people and the culture, the environment is one of the most important aspects of the island because of the beauty it offers to the world. Back home my family and I all spoke Spanish, and when we moved Ocala, Florida we learned English.
