Personal Narrative: My Personal Development Goals

Nowadays, people need to set some personal development goals in their daily lives in order to improve themselves. A good personal development goal must has positive effects for oneself and for the world. My personal development goal is to learn a new part of Beijing Opera, which can help to develop a lot because it has many positive effects for me and the world around me. Learning Beijing Opera is a good personal development goal because it has a lot of great gains, such as gaining skill of planning, gaining physical wellness, gaining knowledge of Chinese traditions and culture. First of all, learning Beijing Opera can gain the skill of planning. Because learning Beijing Opera has a lot of variable situations, it is a good practice for planning things. For example, I deleted something useless in my original plan during doing my project, for I was focusing on My Wisconsin Life Project at the beginning of February. Thus, learning Beijing Opera is a good practice for practicing planning proper pressure to myself as the condition changed. Because I got cold last week, I cannot sing well, so I switched the part of practicing movement with the part of pracing singing on my plan. I am proud of I mastered a skill of planning flexibly because I learned that plan should be changed when the situation changed by learning Beijing Opera. In

All in all, learning Beijing Opera is a good choice as a personal development goal because it has a lot of positive effects, especially helping me to develop and helping the people in the world around me to know the culture of Beijing
