However, what does it mean to live a truly worth living for you? Like many people, my answer was being happy. a. "Happy people get a lot of joy from receiving benefits from others while people leading meaningful lives get a lot of joy from giving to others," explained Kathleen Vohs.
b. Why having a happy life, people still feel hopeless, depressed and alone later? Because It’s truly a lack of having meaning in life. When you already have everything you need, you will feel bored and missing something that create a legacy of life, wonder with your mind that ‘Is this all there is?’
Spoken Link: Having done this speech, I hope that I can create meaning in helping people lead more fulfilling lives by sharing these ideas with you.

Instead of focus on hobbies, projects and relationships based on what happy they will give us, let’s picking those things that make our lives more worthwhile and meaningfulness. If happiness ensues, nothing wonderful than. But if it doesn’t, we can still take comfort in knowing that our lives are contributing to the world in some ways an create a legacy of our life.
Memorable Ending (perhaps a Call to Action)
Don’t take it too seriously. Don’t overthink it. Just DO something that’s meaningful for your life. Anything.
People often find the need to seek the meaning of life. They feel as though there has to be more to life or that they are blinded to something vital in the grand scheme of things. Different people use different means, some go on grand journeys hoping to find some sort of wisdom in their experience. This is where we find a parallel in the lives of Chris McCandless and Siddhartha, the main characters of Into the wild by Jon Krakauer and Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse. In both stories the main character lives a well off life but becomes dissatisfied by societal conventions.
Having a Fulfilling Life Imagine where you would be if you have never read a book in your life. Unread every book you’ve ever read. It’s kind of depressing. You live in the same, plain world as everyone else.
I want to be able to say that I lived a life with love, happiness, and faith. Additionally, not only do I want to be able to claim the above points for myself, I want my fellow peers to be able to do the same. Life cannot be all about the good, with the good comes some bad. As Rousseau stated that the “fling gardlands of flowers over the chains which weigh them down” (pg. 3) is a comparision in the real world as throughout life we will have to overcome obstacles that will weigh us down. For me, obstacles that will be the
Why do we choose to lead unfulfilling lives? Although such questions are not easily answered through one’s own life experiences, the use of other means, such as the book Grendel, written by John Gardner, and the ten-episode
The question of meaning in life is a problem discussed intensively in different scientific areas such as psychology, philosophy, sociology, and even anthropology. This book by Susan Wolf offers a perspective which approaches the problem from a philosophical point of view. However, her focus is not on the question of the ultimate meaning of human life, as in some previous philosophical works, but on the question of how people seek and maintain meaningful lives. This focus shifts Wolf ’s work more to the psychological point of view, because it does not ask whether the world and human life has a higher purpose; rather, it asks what are the conditions in which a person experiences that his or her life is meaningful? Or, in other words, he or she
What Makes Happiness Happiness? Everyone defines happiness differently, but everyone needs happiness. The book Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse talks about how Siddhartha finds happiness through many ways. He leaves home and his friend, Govinda, to find enlightenment.
Could you imagine being surrounded by so many people and still feeling lonely and helpless? “The purpose of life is not to be happy. It is to be useful, to be honorable, to be compassionate, to have it make some difference that you have lived and lived well.” (Emerson 2017). This is a message many people should live by.
To succeed in life, an individual must pursue their passion, without an ulterior motive, rather altruistically to do what they love in life. Life should not be filled with regrets, rather taken advantage to the maximum, and fulfilled with passion, vigor, adventure, bravery, and ambition. Only then, can one state that they have completed their bucket list and done everything imaginable in their
People miss the fact that happiness comes from within. In an attempt to find joy – we must also be cautious about over excessive desire to acquire material objects and wealth. There is a delicate balance that must be reached between the pursuit of happiness, satisfaction, and contentment. While there are many conditions that fulfill ones emotional wellbeing, happiness and how we acquired it, depends upon the
Not many achieve happiness in their lifetime. Either they do not live long enough to witness it or they are not prepared for what their happiness is. Happiness is very subjective. Each person’s version of happiness is different. This version of happiness is universal.

JC is a seventy-seven year old white male who lives by himself in New York City. He was born in London, England, and was an only child.
A wise mercenary once said, "Life is an endless series of train-wrecks with only brief, commercial-like breaks of happiness" (Deadpool). Happiness is believed to be the major component of a good life some people happen to disagree with that notion because people have jobs were they make a solid income they may not be happy but they have a good life outside of work, people tend to be more content then they are happy, and people's happiness can be just too short that it's a waste of energy to be happy. In William Saroyan's play "The Oyster and the Pearl," the school teacher, Miss. McCutcheon, goes to Harry, the local barber, for advice about what she should do: "One week at this school has knocked me for a loop.
Therefore, rather than giving an accurate definition of a good life, this essay will focus on expressing my
Happiness is a goal everyone is trying to reach. We learn we have to get success to be happy at a young age. When we we’re even our parents might be working two jobs trying to support the family money coming in but how do they really feel about having a lot of money and having no time extra to spend time with their children or just have free time. That’s why some people say homeless people could be happy also, but nobody understands completely. They do not have to worry about paying bills or taxes like the rest of us they still have troubles but with too much money it could be overwhelming.
If you know the tools for happiness, then you’ll make it work like magic Happiness might be in the smallest of the things but sometimes the material things won’t give you permanent feeling of joy, you might be happy with those things for a shorter time but it won’t be long lasting. Just as learning new skills requires effort, you will have to strive and work hard to achieve real, long lasting happiness. 2. If you are satisfied with everything you’ve, you might lose the motivation to achieve more and be more happy Happiness is something that boosts up your energy.
