Music is a fundamental part of our lives. It can help us express our emotions and feelings such as anger, happiness, fear, love, etc. We are surrounded by music throughout daily life such as when we are in the shower when we are getting ready, or even when we go to a restaurant. Music is a great way to convey our feelings and can aid us in getting through difficult times. I listen to music every day and this has made me realize that the most important part of music is the lyrics, because it can portray the emotions of the artist to the listener. Lyrics in music have always existed, every single genre of music expresses something unique and attempts to transmit personal emotions to the listener. The influence of lyrics in music is very important as it could be a way of recognition of the emotions such as happiness and sadness. A study was conducted by Elvira Brattico and her colleague.
