Its function is to annotate texts so that the computer can work it out (Singh, 2015). It describes how text is to be structured, laid out, or formatted. It is seem to be the foundation of creating web pages which describe how text is structured, laid out, or formatted. Most of web pages as well as applications nowadays are constructed using markup languages. The most common and useful ones are youtube.com, google.com, wikipedia.org... Accordingly, it is evident that markup language plays a vital role in our modern life. Moreover, other reason that markup languages, such as HTML, became so popular and important is that they provide standards that create the consistency in processing document. It makes it possible for us to create web pages that can be understood not only by other web designers but also by most web browsers and whatever other applications that may need to read the contents of the websites we …show more content…
HTML is exclusively designed for creating web pages and indeed, all web pages are written in HTML. In HTML, HyperText is the method by which you move around on the web — by clicking on special text called hyperlinks which bring you to the next page while ML stands for markup language— i.e. you can go to any place on the Internet whenever you want by clicking on links. HTML defines the way that images, multimedia and text are displayed in web browsers (Markup Language: Definition & Examples). In general, HTML is the "hidden" code that helps us communicate with others on the World Wide Web

Why the internet is making us smarter? A refutation to Nicholas Carr’s The Shallows: The Juggler’s brain In almost a cliché manner, Nicholas Carr, in his book “The Shallows: What the Internet Is Doing to Our Brains”, argues that technology is ruining our brains. Just like Socrates, first lamented the invention of the books claiming that it destroyed our memories and ruined our abilities to tell oral legends, Carr laments the invention of the internet claiming that it destroyed our memories and ruined our abilities to read books.
Without it, there is no way to know a system has gone down until users start complaining. With it, the system/network administrator can be aware of the issue the instant it happens. Documentation is also extremely important in any environment. Documentation is an Administrator’s lifeline if a system breaks and they either need to recreate it or repair it. 2.
Assignment 1 What is Web Server Scripting? Explain the principles of web server scripting: Web server scripting is simply where a script is executed on the web server before a webpage is sent to the user. This means that the files that the user can customised rather the layout or information shown on the webpage once they load it up, an example of this would be, on Facebook once you login you will get a news feed, which is for you alone and no one else. This makes webpages dynamic; they can change depending on circumstances of the user instead of being a simple static page which can’t change rather the layout, information and so forth.
3. Research Question and Objectives Our main objective is to design a web-based visual interactive software that can provide us a graphical interface for computer programming. Where basic general purpose programming facilities will be available like creation of modules, arrays and object orientation. Where we can achieve multitasking using threads and exception handling to catch exceptions.
Task 1 - REPORT (P1, M1, D1) Your first task is to investigate web architecture and components involved in website production, and produce a report. In Part 1 of the report you are required to outline the role of the following: ARCHITECTURE: Internet Service Providers (ISP): businesses which provides access to the Internet to their subscribed customers and provide dial-up, cable, fibre optic or other types of Internet access. E.g. Sky, BT, Virgin Media and TalkTalk are examples of Internet Service Providers and broadband providers. Web hosting services: this is a kind of Internet hosting service that ables people and organisations to make their own website accessible through the World Wide Web.
Other things you can do with the page layout are inserting page breaks, hyphenation, and line numbers. Inserting page or section breaks allows you to change the layout of a section or page without changing the rest of the document. Hyphenation allows the writer to hyphenate words routinely without leaving awkward line endings on the right side margin. Line numbers provides numbers for referencing the information in the document (Microsoft,
Learning Journal: Unit 3 We got to really work on developing some html this week. Using codeacademy.com we got to have some experience implementing many of the basics of a web site and handling links, adding media, and altering various styles. I inadvertently started taking one of the other courses on the site and learned a little bit about CSS which it looks like we’ll be covering more next week. For our discussion post we went over some ideas regarding social media, but I would have liked to have gotten a little more info about incorporating it into web design. • Describe any feedback you received or any specific interactions you had.
• Demonstrate at what depth vulnerabilities can be exploited. • Validate vulnerabilities. • It can give common sense and confirmation required for to deal with the security issues.

There has been an assumption that academic writing is getting to be less formal as it is expected by many institutions. The informality in written work has become a standard thing in most public domains. With close observation, writers have literary shifted from the normal standards of writing and styles of writing that are impersonal. However, the assumption has not been examined in the recent past.
