The definition of problems spans an entire spectrum. “Problems” are things or circumstances that appear to threaten our security, dependability or future accomplishments. Our pursuit of knowledge is often not solely dependent on the desire to solve problems. As such, my knowledge question is “To what extent is solving problems for human societies the main motivation for knowledge construction?” Mathematical knowledge is sometimes pursued for its own sake, for theoretical purposes. As illustrated with the invention of the digital technology, alcohol and even GM food products, mankind have always been intuitive in utilizing Mathematics, and the Natural Sciences to shape inventions to cater to our needs and improve our daily life. As problems are a phenomenon of our daily lives that arises from the different circumstances that we face day-to-day, the knowledge produced to solve problems is therefore also circumstantial when problems come into existence into our lives. In this light, it is clear that problems are not the main reason to produce knowledge, but knowledge is rather produced to counter problems only when they come into existence. Therefore, this essay exerts that the main reason for knowledge construction could be the innate desire of humans to improve our quality of life or satisfy our natural curiosity. Introduction The purpose of this report is to summarize what our team, the Fig Neutrons, did for the final project of ECE160. For the project we used an Arduino Sparkfun Kit to build a Simon says game with multiple game modes that would display several different game statistics on an LCD screen. The work the team has done includes Charlieplexing LEDs and including code for implementing the LEDs, writing code for a reverse Simon game. We also had to make the game play a different song than the one provided, and write code for the LCD to display wins, losses, game length, and the number of games played.
1. Researches excluded students that are diagnose with mental problems because the researches don 't want to make them uncomfortable on what students without mental health problems feel. I also believe that students with mental health problems were excluded because they will not give an accurate answer. 2. I believe that people think about that people with mental health problems are crazy, can 't think right, mean, weird, and dumb.
Enlightenment The enlightenment was a time in which leaders and philosophers promoted ideas during the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries that influenced people's thoughts concerning politics, social justice, human progress and religion forever. As said by Philosopher Immanuel Kant, “Enlightenment is defined as the upset of the established order/the awakening of one’s mind/forsaking society’s imposed mindset and establishing one for yourself.” (Document 12) These scientists like Issac Newton and writers like John Locke were challenging the old ways and because of that people became socially aware.
The Enlightenment was created in France in the 1700’s. It was a movement in Europe that was about applying reason to all aspects of life. During this movement, Philosophers used five concepts that they built upon to create the Enlightenment; reason, nature, happiness, progress, and an envy for England's glorious revolution and their bill of rights. The Enlightenment was a European movement that sparked and challenged new ideas about the relationship of common people to their governments. Over a period of time Enlightenment ideas spread outside of Europe and created a change of governments around the globe.
