This is what made him look like a bad president and not many people were a big fan of him. Other than him also wanting to build that border, which there is no point in because people will do what it takes to succeed a better life. Meaning mexicans will dig , climb over , get a helicopter or something to cross over the border. And now that he’s making other races think mexicans are taking american jobs , mexicans will , are and always have been working hard but now 10x harder to prove , what the president said is not true. Why are mexicans being treated bad and unfairly ?
Mexicans are often working jobs that Americans believe they are too inferior to work. However, Mexicans come to America in hopes to be able to provide for their familismo (family), give their children a better life and education opportunity, despite working hard jobs with long hours and little pay
First was the jobs in America. Well that is because industrialization helped the United States to provide jobs for newly immigrated Japanese people. The immigrants would fill low-paying, low-status, or dangerous jobs that Japanese immigrants rejected. Another object was their homes. Many Japanese immigrants did not like their new jobs because the distance away from family and friends was a long disconnection.
Immigrants wanted a fuller life, but United States government was making it impossible and difficult for them (Shultz). During the former portion of the twenty century illegal immigrants were crossing over to the United States. The immigrants came from Mexico and other Latin American countries. Europe was another country immigrant came from. Yet, they faced many challenges to get in the United States and wanting
Although there are similarities between Mexican and American cultures based on Hofstede’s culture theory, culture differences are still exist between the two countries in terms of power distance, individualism vs. collectivism, and time management. Local employees tend to expect to be told what to do by supervisors and they try to manage a close long-term commitment to the organization (Hofstede Center, 2016). Often times, people promise that the tasks or assignments will be competed by a certain time, but their paces are usually slow. This is part of Mexican culture so the expats need to be better prepared and know what to expect (ExpatFocus, 2015). As the information we have collected, most Mexicans do speak some English, but Spanish is
Immigration are people from all over the country who come here to have a better life & get better jobs so they can provide for their families. They move from one country to another one because life wasn’t easy in their country. Some come for a couple of years & then leave & some come to live here forever. If they stay forever they have to take a test to earn their citizenship. In the United States we give chances to people in other countries to come over here in the land of the free to have a better chance at life.
The United States opened up many opportunities for, not only my family, but to many immigrants as well. Growing up my parents were very poor, they had a slight chance to survive if they stayed in Mexico.”. Kristhell is speaking for many immigrants coming into the U.S. They don’t want to cause trouble or steal jobs. They came here for a safer and better life with more opportunities.
I’m sure it is difficult being a Spanish-American because people just see Spanish Americans as just mexicans and not really American. Especially learning English would be tricky and that makes it more confusing if you are trying to be the citizen of the United States. Just I’m sure being Spanish American makes things harder and you have to work harder to be accepted in America. Latin Americans also struggle getting jobs and an education is harder. My family can relate to this kind of because I’m adopted and I have two mothers and gays are still not fully accepted in America.
It depends on how the lens of the person is viewing what they identify as an individual. It can get complicated to be known as Mexican in the United States because of the way we are portrayed as being the minority. Then as a Mexican half, your soul is still on the other half where your parents traveled from initially, yet when traveling to Mexico makes us leave a part of our soul. As a part of the people who were born to speak Spanish as my native language, I find it beautiful, but there are those individual people who would try to stop us from saying anything in Spanish. Anzaldua brings in all the different changes that have happened to the Spanish language.
I am Mexican-American and sometimes exhibit behavior similar to Dee’s. I want to completely disregard my ‘Mexican’ side because I live in America and therefore should be ‘American.’ Yet, at the same time I do not want to lose the tiny bit of Mexican in me and want to embrace it and explore that side of me. Like Mama, I am not ashamed of who I am. I am not ashamed of the struggle that my parents and their parents went through. My biggest dilemma is that I do not know enough of my Mexican side such as the culture, traditions, foods, and even the history because from young age I was not exposed to those things.
